I think saban has lost his mind. I am just waiting for bama to name Kiffin as Coach In Waiting.

IF Kiffin is a good hire, I will definitely be eating crow. It won't be the first time...or the last. There is no denying saban is a good coach. Other than some bama fans, as of today, I think it would be hard to find many people to say that Kiffin is a good coach.

As does Scruffy. Kiffin has been a cancer over the last decade.

Wasn't the offense not already good statistically?

Per ESPN et al

"On a side note, the Florida State Seminoles defeated the Auburn Tigers to derail the SECs bit for an eighth straight national title. Now we return to our regular coverage of all Alabama, all the time. Stay tuned as Layla....."

Against mediocre teams IIRC. But apparently Nuss has predictable tendencies, which explains his shitty RZ numbers in the IB and Sugar Bowl. Nuss was a good OC, but we needed a fresh start I think. Saban has wanted to go up tempo for a while now, and that's what Kiffin wants as well.

Weren't we all laughing at LSU fans for hiring a has been OC in Cam? I think having Lane in an OC spot, out of the spotlight, with only play calling and recruiting to worry about, is perfect for him.

It will probably either be remembered as brilliant or a disaster. Unfortunately for Alabama, I'm inclined to believe it will be the latter. Hopefully if it does go poorly they run him out after one season. Honestly, I'm more worried about him running his mouth like he did at UT.

Skins on the wall is the big difference. Cam is well respected in the football world. Lane, not so much. People like to knock Cameron for being fired then Baltimore going on to win the Super Bowl without him but his offense had them in first place at the time of his hiring. If their defense would've just stopped RGIII once in that overtime game we probably never have the chance to hire Cam.

That's the thing, look at the numbers, Alabama's offense has been pretty good overall.

It needs tweeks, not a complete overhaul.

It won't be a complete overhaul. I think Kiffin will bring the spark we need, honestly.

With him out of the spotlight, only focused on play calling and recruiting, I think he will do well. And I like him as our QB coach, honestly.

It's not like it can get any worse for our team vs y'all. Any change for Bama is a good change for Ole Miss, although the hatred will have to be a bit hush hush since his brother also works for Ole Miss.

Just saying that what IF Alabamas offense improves by leaps and bounds over the next two years thanks to Kiffins play calling.

Who will be here to eat crow?

For all the "Saban made his arse quit" threads...this is so "Gussesed". Das Führer is fricked.
