Actually, I think its a response thread, to a response thread.

What are the other two threads? Mine wasn't a response thread.

I think it hypothetical night on tRant.
The boards have been quiet today, so I figured tonight's a better time than ever since it wouldn't get lost amid the typical repeated news threads, trolls, response threads, etc.

While we're at it, what would GT and Tulane be like if they hadn't left?

That's an excellent question. I wasn't alive when they left, so I'd have to do a lot of research.

Would this be a better place without Arkansas posters?
No, they're the masters of trolling. Ole Miss posters learned a lot in the Hog fans' absence.

WVU and Arizona weren't anything special when he got there. He got WVU all the way to #2 (granted he choked when everything was on the line). Arizona was mediocre under Stoops and this year he beat Oregon and got them into the top 10.

Michigan was a disaster no doubt but he had personality clashes with the administration from the get go

There's no need to talk about my thread since you're posting there too.

ON TOPIC
I'm assuming that you meant 07 in the title, in which case Alabama would have been 2 seasons removed from a 10 win season, which is not bad. I don't follow Rodriguez. I assume he'd get the Alabama boost in recruiting, but good is he at player development? On another note, defenses win championships, and he hasn't won any. Why's that?

I meant December 06 when Rich Rod went to Michigan and Saban left Miami.

He has coached some very good college QBs. Got great seasons out of Shaun King at Tulane and Woody Dantzler at Clemson. Developed Pat White at WVU.

Only one conf championship like you said but how many championships did Saban have before he came to LSU?

My bad, you started the Saban to UGA thread as well.

So it would be a better place.

Actually, I think you were right. An Alabama poster created what appeared to be a spinoff of my UGA thread, then Craig created this one.

Eh, rules enforcement is lax, so I suppose it'd still be fun. At a minimum, it'd be intellectually stimulating more often.

I up voted... I often talk of this with one of my buddies. I even was OK with Paul Johnson, so I never hear the end of that lol. Somebody said a 10 win coach, I could see that and would've been pretty OK with that at the time. I got on the bama pain train spring of 98, so my standards were pretty low.

What ifs seriously.

Does Saban stick it out in Miami? Maybe Tennessee makes a run at him in 08?
