People are WAYYYYY overreacting to this game. Holy shite.

At the beginning of the season, this was circled as being possibly the toughest game on our schedule next to Texas A&M. This was BYoung's first road test, and we WON. Keyword - we WON. I've never seen our fanbase so pissed after a win over a good team.

Florida is a good team. The read option run game is hard to stop when the QB is basically a running back who runs a 4.4, and the running back runs a 4.3. They have tremendous speed, and skill players. It's obvious our defense didn't have much experience defending an offense like that.
Florida is going to get Anthony Richardson back, and then they're gonna be even harder to beat. It absolutely wouldn't surprise me if we rematch Florida in Atlanta, and I believe this was a really solid road win.

Alabama's offense is still lethal, and hard to defend. I'm guilty of shitting on this offense pretty bad, but our offense jumped out of the gate vs. Florida and went up 21-3. We had a bad run at one point in the game with some key drops, but we drove down the field and scored when we had to in a hostile environment.

I say all of this to say that Alabama is still clearly the best team in the West, and it won't be at all surprising to me if we go undefeated in the regular season, and possibly beyond. If we make it out of the SEC undefeated, who can stop us? Is there any team outside of Alabama and Georgia who looks formidable right now?

Bamas offense picked on UFs defense when UF primarily went man to man in the 1st Q.

UF was able to “slow” Bama down by going more of a soft zone, while applying more pressure on Young.

Didn’t really stop Bama from scoring but it made things a lot more difficult and it gave UF a chance when it held Bama to the FG in the 4th Q.

Not sure how you could be confident in a team that you think lacks fire and has serious chemistry issues (no troll, serious question)? Or do you think those are gone/not as big an issue as previously thought?

I mean, you were pretty pissed, were you not?

I think what people aren't getting is that Florida has a really good team. With AR-15 healthy, they have a great shot at winning the East

I learned Florida lost at home and celebrated after.

Florida is pretty good and so is Alabama but the real question is how good is either of them?

2-3 more weeks and we'll better know the answer for both.

I agree it was a huge win for a first start sec game against what’s probably a top 10 team but our ability to adjust when DancMullen said you know what what I’m doing isn’t working so he changes and Bama made zero adjustments. Our LBs were lost

Exactly. This was the third week of the season, not the last.

Both teams will be different a month or two from now.

What do we think would happen if Georgia plays Clemson in the playoffs? The exact same game as before?

Yes. I think a lot of times you get wrapped up in the emotions of watching the game live, but when you go back and watch knowing the outcome, you get a different perspective.

I still think there are some chemistry issues and a lack of leadership, but that can change over the course of a season as they face more adversity.

Jameson Williams I think is starting to emerge for us. John Metchie has gotta shore up his drop issues.
I think Brian Robinson is doing a lot better than he's getting credit for.
Hellams is the worst player on our defense. He looks absolutely lost out there. We need Pruitt to come back asap.

Bottom line is we look pretty damn good relative to everyone else out there. The only team that really looks like they could beat us is Georgia

UF may very well go to Atlanta, but I have a hard time picturing them (or anybody else) rolling up 300+ yards on the ground against that UGA D. UF is a very good team, but THAT good? I doubt it. If the passing game gets just a little better, then we may have a ballgame.

Yea I got you. I agree, there were flaws and some things that have to be fixed, but all in all the weeping and gnashing of teeth of a road win vs a Top 10 team is pretty insane. Even for Saban Era Alabama.

We've had plenty of these types of games in the near recent past against teams worse than Florida. Nobody acted like we'd lost to ULM again. It's kind of strange.

This is a team that will have to develop as the year goes on, and that's ok.

I actually think both Florida and Alabama will significantly improve as the season progresses.

A rematch (big if for Florida but they have a shot) would be an absolutely gigantic game.

Folks on this board have thrown more dirt on Bama's grave than a Chinese Dam project. I'll believe it when I see it.

Young QB in a very hostile environment, early in the season. Mullen's O seems to give Saban heartburn.

If we learn how to defend the wheel route we'll see you in ATL!

Yeah, I don't really understand that.

It's okay to accept that Florida has a very good team.

It's okay to accept that they did some things that Alabama's players didn't adjust to well (in the third week of the season).

At the end of the day, how many teams will be capable of doing the same? Will Alabama have adjusted well enough to those wrinkles by that point?

Who knows? But right now, there's no need to panic.

Yea, like, there is a massive gulf between "We're the clear National Title favorites" and "Alabama is a 3 loss team"

We'll only have a championship quality team if we progress in some areas. If we do, sky is the limit. If we don't, we'll probably drop some games. It's ok to live in that space

It reminds me of last year vs. Ole Miss when everyone was shocked at how bad our defense looked. It turns out we had a pretty good team

Bama fans were bitching about the D this time last year. They improved and got better as the season went on.

For me I think its still a work in progress till you have a 100% Will Anderson and a more experienced Drew Sanders who has already exceeded my expectations, along with better tackling and play by the Db's
