I like the formula that he's using. Recruit 35 players a year and weed them out until you hit your max 85. Then play as many freshman and sophomores as your team will allow. No one is going to fire you the first couple of years. By year 3 and 4 all those guys will have the most experience in the SEC and should be massively competitive. That will get you 3 year extension which is long enough time to get over suffering losses years 5&6. Or you can jump teams after year 4. Should work great. Any coach can use this formula. Look at Freeze and Mullin. Both graduating big class and will suck next year. I bet they either leave or get big contract enhancements.

Not sure. All Richt did in his second year was win the SEC and go 13-1.

Guy's a hell of a recruiter though. But in his two years, the east has been pretty down and he's still barely going to be bowl eligible this year.

We already have 3 composite ****s in our 16 class. A top 247 OT, a top 247 QB, and a CB who falls just outside the top 247 at 289.

Agree. I'm still not sold that he is an upper level coach, though.

But still better than anything they have had since Fulmer.

They will be bowl eligible tomorrow.

And tbh, I think it is fair to question Butchs coaching. Florida at home was fricking embarrassing. And we showed out huge in that game as fans.

Time will tell but I won't let that Florida game go until Butch beats Mullen at FL next year.

Improved the recruiting and talent level. Positive results to follow. The most amazing thing in SEC coaching is it's only taken Miles this long to destroy the powerhouse Saban built.
