To me its somewhat of a win/win.

If he pans out, awesome! Let's go get some hardware!

If he doesn't, LSU can put the blame squarely on CLM and he can't get out from under it. Where that leads? Not sure. But it goes a long way to unquestionably identifying the problem.

This.

Considering Jennings could beat aTm, even if Miller isn't "successful" we know aTm will be a W.

What are you going to do when Chavis doesn't come close to fixing your dumpster fire of a defense?

What happens if LSU gets Miller and he is mildly successful and LSU goes 9-3 and has a mildly successful season?

WHAT HAPPENS?

we want mobile QBs. Jennings just sucks. People blame the offense, but Jennings has a lot of physical limitations that wouldn't go over well in any offense.

Miles blames it on his inability to learn the offense?
He isn't the player he once was after injury?

I think Braxton Miller at LSU would be very interesting. I see about a 50% chance that he is very successful, and that offense starts really clicking. If used correctly, that offense is flat-out scary. And most defenses will have no chance to stop them. But I also could see him struggling a lot like mobile QBs so often do in that offense.

I think the jury is in for even the most ardent of PosiTigers these days. There's no getting around Jennings' last place finish in QB stats this year in FBS. This isn't a function of his talent, though that's lacking. Much of it has to do with the lack of development that's going on.

Miles is content-almost gets a challenge-out of showing you he's fairly adept at fighting with one arm tied behind his back. Considering the point isn't to win with only one arm, it's just to win however you can, the constant act's worn thin. We have not had a home-grown QB lead us to any title in any season. Lee was a Jimbo kid and JJ didn't lead us to sh!t in 2011. Mett was a Richt pupil who came from JUCO.

Miller for me is a litmus test. If he falters, in large part, Miles will be on the fast-train out of town or in line to have his ticket punched. Most Tiger Fans are either well past being ready or finally on the side of the fence that's glad to see him go.

He's either incapable or unwilling to adapt. Seeing another 5 loss season-if it hastens his departure-would be tragic but necessary. He's too stubborn for his own-much less LSU's-good.

I'm hopeful it all works out well, but deep down inside, even LSU fans know it won't. Miller-if he comes here-will more than likely show off Miles' new fashion collection from the Emperor's Line.

Appreciate the solid answer. Even after admitting LSU would probably beat A&M next year, most just wanted to focus on that.

The accomplishments of my alma mater are completely irrelevant to my question.

Good, concise explanation of the situation. Miles appears stubborn as a mule where the offense is concerned. I feared the same about Saban prior to the Kiffin hire.
