I'm sorry that my thread is getting confused for some current trend of response threads or trolling. This topic isn't meant to flame or rustle any jimmies. I want to know why Alabama declined after the second half of the LSU game? It's not like the competition got any harder, but the team performed poorly versus Mississippi State, Auburn, and Oklahoma after showing flashes of brilliance against LSU.

Because LSU is your Super Bowl. Notice the Saban jump into McCarrons arms at the end.

"It was a lot of negativity and individual playing last year," Jones said. "All those little things, which people can probably say it's not a problem, but it is. So you're not playing for your team any more, you're kind of looking at everything for yourself. So now we're trying to redefine everything as this is a team unit, no matter what happens, no matter who's playing, we're playing all in for the team to accomplish one goal."

I imagine that McCarron was one of those players that wasn't playing for the team towards the end of the season. The comments he made were unnecessary. McCarron should have criticized his performances against MSU, AU, and OU first and foremost. He was off target and accounted for 5 turnovers versus MSU and OU.

bullshite! It's the other way around. LSU perennially delivers their best game of the season against Alabama. Alabama typically struggles against LSU. If the Saban Bowl was Alabama's Super Bowl, then Alabama would be regularly blowing LSU out of the water since Alabama has more talent and arguably better coaching. Instead, Saban's Alabama has struggled versus Miles' LSU since this game started taking the form of a rivalry.

LOL poor LSU fans. Having to latch on to whatever team that can do what their miserable arse can't.

It's really pathetic seeing all these LSU fans resorting to threads living vicariously through Auburn and Oklahoma and then posting a thread about Alabama fans crazy shite to make themselves feel good about getting their arse handed to them 3 games in a row.

Not really, Cade had only missed one field goal in the previous 11 games. He went 0-3 that night. Early on, McCarron was off target and receivers were dropping balls. The defense was getting gashed on the ground. Cyrus Jones played abysmally. The Alabama offense got shut down in the second half; it was reminiscent of the 2010 Iron Bowl. Alabama did not play a good game, but they were in a position to win the game until time expired.

Latch on? Sure many celebrate Bama's defeats because we don't like you.

Great second half last year vs LSU. I'm not going to run out and kill anybody over it.

Alabama struggled with O-line inconsistency and poor cornerback play all season. The second half of the LSU game was the first time Alabama had played great all season in an otherwise shaky season. Saban was likely happy that his team had finally performed to their potential, but they immediately regressed.

Yeah, I'm sure that's it.

After thumping LSU so thoroughly in the 2nd half of that game, EVERYONE associated with bammer (including Saban) and 99.9% of the CFB media thought the NC was theirs for the taking. All they had to do was show up for the remaining games, blow out whatever sacrificial lamb won the SEC East, and then trounce FSU. The media bammer suck-up lovefest the week after the LSU game was world-class.
Makes the humiliating end to their season all the more hilarious.

Not only did we out play them in the first half of last years game, we also out played them the entire game in 2012. Just couldn't find ways to hold on

That team came out pissed in the 2nd half last year and took it to us. I can't imagine the halftime yelling Saban must have given them
