Bowling Green ran 85 plays. Only Baylor and Oregon run more plays per game than them.

I ain't worried about the defense overall. Hell, UT had two guys out which put Sutton out of position. Things got tightened up in the second half a bit so I'm not too worried. If I did have a worry, it is with the Sam linebacker. He got handled by BG experienced line. He is a walk on who is in the starting role...what does this say about our talent pool at that position?

So now you're comparing BG's offense to Baylor and Oregon? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

They were able to run that many plays because your defense sucked.

Nothing. Our problem at MLB isn't talent - we've got tons of that, including that walkon who isn't your typical walkon as he had DI offers and took a scholly to play at Navy because he wanted to be a Naval officer but he got struck by the Navy because of a health condition, he was forced to do prep got more DI offers but his heart was at UT where he's actually a legacy player. Our problem is with experience of which we have zero.

Kirkland will take the MLB spot soon, imo. And a healthy Dillon Bates will likely move to OLB. Jumper (the walkon who I believe is on scholly now) will play quality reps.

Leave them alone will you please. Butch is in his 3rd year and his team is young. Very very young. Cut him some slack. Hell Saban sucked in his 3rd year....wait..

You're crazy if you think Bowling Green has a crappy offense.

Defensively, we also looked lethargic, like we didn't want to be there.

The DBs threw their backs out pulling a train on Jen Bielema on Friday night. Should be fine next week.

Fair question. I think they were in the locker room or perhaps asleep at the team hotel until after the 80 min rain delay. They actually did clean up after that but they were MIA til then.

What does this tell you about your defensive coaching staff (hint they can't game plan). You won't get Mother Nature to bail you out with an 80 minute weather break every week.

It tells me Martinez wasn't in the booth to call down adjustments since he was serving an NCAA suspension (not having our DB coach who also serves as our DC's "eyes in the booth" hurt. It tells me our safety's got better the moment TKjr stepped on the field (he sat out most of the game because he only got out of the hospital on Thursday due to tonsilitis). It tells me the limited action Justin Martin saw also helped.
