Let's face it. Recruiting at Southern Cal is pretty damn easy. Only an idiot could mess that up.

Hugh Freeze has outrecruited Orgeron's best recruiting class at Ole Miss every year.

I think it's safe to say Freeze, as O's recruiting coordinator, out-recruited O.

Orgeron was the architect of all those USC classes that built the Carroll era. I give you that Pete, Kiff and the rest of that staff helped a ton but O was the architect. He chose the targets and did most of the legwork. He's mostly responsible for the USC/FL pipeline.

At Tennessee, he was the architect of that monster class they had built when he and Kiff bolted. Without him Kiff and Tennessee wouldn't have had half that class.

The 2nd stint at USC was all his talent. He can't help that Kiffin can't coach and that they had injuries and no depth. They are loaded with talent and no one will question that.

In other words, O builds classes from the bottom up. He gets help after picking the targets but every staff does that. Bamas classes aren't built behind one man. Its a staff effort with Saban as the closer and chooser of talent. O is the same aside from the best coach in the biz part. As a recruiter he's right there with Saban and Meyer as the best. He just doesn't have the same ability to run an entire program like they do.

At LSU, O doesn't have to build the entire class. He just has to close and rake in DL talent. He will focus on DL talent and anyone that the staff feels they need him on for that extra push. He, Frank, Steele and Raymond on the same kids means trouble for whoever the competition is. They'll lose some as everyone does but they'll land most

Freeze had a 19th ranked class last year, Orgeron had a 15th ranked class.

But that is just garbage recruiting rankings.

Yeah. Orgeron left no talent at Ole Miss.

Miami 1988-1992. 2 National Championships in that time. Who got the talent there? He wrote a book, read it

If Ed was ever DC that means Lane Kiffin demoted his own father, Monty Kiffin.

And not only that, but that Monty Kiffen decided to hang around as a college defensive assistant.

Monty was DC then Clancy.

O recruited. See Leonard Williams
