i wear gym shorts, a t-shirt, and either tennis shoes or flip-flops.
don't see the point of getting dressed up to go bake in the sun for 4 hours. does this mean i don't have team spirit?

I mean hell, I will wear colors but I don't own a fricking polo with the school logo on it.

Although since sec folks are adamantly opposed to Jerseys I think I will make it a point to wear one every week.

I've seen people from each school rocking jerseys; I didn't know it was considered so taboo in some circles until I saw people on here poo-pooing it. Me, I just wear a t-shirt...don't see the point in getting all dressed up to watch a football game, but to each his own

I may be off here but I think a lot of it has to do with pride. Here in the south we love our football, and we know we love it more than they do in other parts of the country. That said we dress like it means more to us. Girls wear dresses, guys wear button downs/polos/blazers to carry on a tradition of southern propriety. Or at least that's how I see it.
