Of course you're right, but one word which describes all high profile coaches trumps every legitimate thing you wrote:

"ego"

They all have it to the max, so it doesn't matter to them.

So you're saying LSU fans do worse things than kill 100-year-old trees when our rival wins a NC, kill each other after a loss, expose themselves in public and rub their genitals on opposing fans after a win, have our female fans attack opposing fans in the stands, etc....

Yeah, the fanbase that does all those things is definitely the worst of all time.

no. because LSU has a live tiger mascot that does not like football, and that is very rare. you jump all over that job just to be near him.

No decent coach will take a job with a program that fires a coach with a .775 winning percentage.

Will you idiots realize it's not about his winning percentage? When you watch every LSU game every year then you can get back to me about the merits of our coaching.

It's about the recent downfall in play since 2011.

It's about fielding a 94th or lower ranked offense 6 of the past 7 years with a roster full of NFL talent.

It's about weekly mismanagement, whether that be penalties, confusion on the field, or blown assignments.

It's about being too hardheaded to realize everybody knows your game plan before you even take the field, and that's not gonna beat teams that have equal or better talent.

What Miles did 10 years ago has NOTHING to do with this decision. He was/is a great coach, but it's time for a change.

All of this with the highest paid coaching staff in the country.

The question is not whether LSU can get a top-notch coach. They can. Top 10 job at least (despite the idiocy of Joe Allegra).

It's a question of availability. Who are they going to hire? Who is available? I have yet to see a top 5 from any LSU fan.

If I were an LSU fan, I would want the head of Joe Allegra on a platter before anyone else gets fired.

Why do A&M fans think their opinion on how to run a football program is relevant?

Because he has crap qb. LSU wanted to believe that Harris was finally the answer. Turns out he is Jermery Johnson with better WRs and a great RB.

Almost every QB is a crap QB at LSU because the offensive playbook and QB coaching is terrible. It's not because we recruit untalented QBs. LSU has finished ranked in the 100s or 90s in passing offense every year except 1 since 2008 (and in that year we finished in the 40s with Zack Mettenberber, Jeremy Hill, Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry - all starters in the pros recently). And those terrible ranking happened with different coordinators. There is one constant though.

Build a statue for his first 5-6 seasons and fire him for the previous 3 seasons.

Seems reasonable. It's a dog eat dog world and he isn't the same coach he was.

BWAHAHAHA...Gumps trying to trash any other fan base is like Jared Fogle calling others a pervert.

As to why a coach would want to come to LSU:

Coaching against many of the best coaches in the country...in what is arguably the best division in CFB.

An extremely rich state / area for football talent, with no major in state school to compete against.

You have an easy sell with LSU. Players know that LSU and the SEC sends players to the NFL and has constant TV exposure.

The opportunity to coach at one of the legendary venues in CFB. One that even casual CFB fans annually make plans to experience.

Oh...and the pay isn't too shabby, either.

I've never killed anyone, exposed myself in public or poisoned any plants other than weeds. I'm not female, nor do I know a female who has attacked anyone at a sporting event.

What about me?

Do I have any room in your generalizations?
