Malzahn didn't come with a ton of baggage.

Thanks for your honesty. Like I said in another thread.....if anybody else in the SEC had hired Kiffin, the gumps would be giving them absolute hell right now. Because saban hired him, it's a brilliant move.
What's so unusual about that, goat-ogler? When Corey Grant came to Alabama, y'all called him everything but a child of God, now he's just great! That's just the way things are.

Why? USC's scoring improved when he left against tougher competition. With a nobody for OC.

Kiffin left the baggage behind when he came to work for Saban.

You may not, but I am. I don't care if he's a douche, Bama is trying to win titles. You do whatever it takes to win titles.

I never said a word about it. I am a grown adult and don't take to bad mouthing teenagers.

We are talking about a person who has accomplished one thing in his profession.......being the son of a HOF DC. Nothing more, nothing less.

But a shitload of Auburn folks did. That's the problem. You lump all Alabama fans into one group and belittle them for what one or even a couple of the fanbase might do or say. And Alabama folks do the same in many cases. If you're going to lump all of any group together, you'd better be prepared to get "lumped" yourself.

You're on your own...majority of your fellow fans are spinning like Jenna Jameson on Ron Jeremy's dick right now.

We don't like the guy, but there is nothing we can do about it - it is what it is.

Any other fans on here stating unequivocally that Bama fans are "excited" or "thrilled" are just talking out their asses, because we are not, at all. You can make fun all you want, but you are just wishing that we are like the Tennessee Kiffin fans of old - defending the guy when the water was rising around them.

All we can do is look for some sort of silver lining (and I don't see one right now) and hope that he is wildly successful . . . and that our head coach has not lost his marbles.
Holy Frack!!

A honest gump!!

I'm being honest when I say I like the hire. Just because some of us are positive about it doesn't mean that we are lying.

No, it just means that y'all are clearly insane.

The guy is a cancer. He has hurt every program he was a part of.

Yeah Saban is just going to let him run amuck because letting assistants run the ship is Saban's MO. Kiffin realizes that this is his last chance, and I think he will respect it. I think Kiffin is capable of running a competent offense especially given our fire power. We have too many weapons that went underused last year.

If Saban were to open up(and stop being so old fashioned), let Kiffin do his thing, and if we find the right quarterback, Bama's offense will be unstoppable!! Mark my words.

Lane Kiffin as HC of Alabama? Absolutely not! Lane Kiffin as OC and a proven addition to Bama's recruiting staff? Absolutely!

If Coker comes here and we're not dense about letting him start if he only makes it in by Fall, I think we'll be fine. I like Del Rio too, but I don't think he has the arm to give us the most potential. Coker, if we used just a little hurry up, would dominate throwing to our weapons, if he lives up to the hype.

Next Alabama will hire Petrino after Saban bails following a disaster season next year. Paul Finebaum commits suicide.

My thoughts on the hire: he's here as the OC not as a figure head or a media relations guy, none of the assistants are and he will be no different. So he will not have the opportunity to speak to the media and mouth off like he did while at UT.

I didn't like him at UT, mainly because he was cocky and got under everyones skin. But he did have UT playing hard, had the fan base really excited, recruited really well and if he had stayed I thought he would eventually have UT back competing for the SEC.

He will do what he's told, conform to Sabine process or he will get fired. I'm not worried about him embarrassing the School. I think he will do a good job. He's young, has his back against the wall and will be motivated to produce at a high level. I think he gets it done and will be great, if not then adios amigo and we'll move on.

If anyone thinks Bama is going to "decline" then you are only fool I g yourself and are wishful thinking yourself into a deluded mind. Saban hates losing more so than anyone I've ever seen and his competitive drive is about to go into overdrive. I think he got a little complacent, soft this year with the team and Lost some of his mean streak due to AJ and his relationships. I believe this will be one of the hardest spring and summers of his tenure on the team. They are about to get worked harder than ever.

He said recently this is like 07 again, he looking to rebuild the program and from where we are now to where he wants to get the SEC better watch the frick out I have a feeling that next year will be a bad arse mean streak playing Bama team that will resemble the 11s defense intensity on both sides of the ball. I guaranteed you Saban wants to win the first CFB Playoff more than any BCSCG he's ever coached. His legacy will be furthered to legendary if he can win the first! Watch out we coming !
