I saw someone post on VQ today that Pearl's youngest son is still enrolling at UT in August, rather than Auburn. A lot of people took that to mean we can still get him back in the next few years if we want.
Whether we can or not, the talk will not die until Pearl denies interest, which wasn't his style while he was at UT.

I can see that. Almost always set up to fail following someone who has the success Bruce, or any coach for that matter, did.

My old man's not in the good ole boys club up here, but he's close with quite a few guys who are. Mostly through the Car business, and hooking up the coaches and their staffs with new vehicles when they get up here. As a favor to the University. Through that Pearl made good with a lot of those guys/boosters so my old man was able to play poker and shoot golf with him a lot. The guy was heart broken to have to step down etc. We've known for a while he wasn't going to be back, but some of the conversations they had with him makes it easier to root for him at AU. The guy bleeds orange and always will . But I'm happy that he's getting a second chance, he's to good of a coach not to. I hope he does well in the future, regardless of destination. You guys got a good one, and with how shitastic AU basketball has been, I'm happy you guys are gonna smoke the shite out of your little brother in T-Town.

One of my good friends is a UT grad, and that's all he said yesterday. He was pissed Pearl got hired at a place not UT, but said the only silver lining was it wasn't in Tuscaloosa.

Exactly. The reds would have left their caves in huge numbers if that happened
