If we would legalize weed these poor young souls wouldn't have to subject theirselves to synthetic poison.

Eh... I'm more glad to see that people who do smoke, don't have to hide in the shadows, like criminals. Honest Americans who have been arrested over something that has fewer negative health and societal impacts than alcohol, who's use is embraced in this country. The
Economic impact of having an entire black market legalized, and generating taxes from sales of purchases and income taxes collected from industry workers. I also like the fact that legal sales make it much more difficult for kids to buy weed, instead of me who found multiple hookups from local Taco Bell cashiers while in middle school.

You know, common sense shite.

Great rant and it doesn't even take into consideration all the money spent enforcing it being illegal (prisons, cops, etc).

Yep, the good ol prison industrial complex. Over jailing the population has caused more problems and created more violent criminals than any drug.

I'll be surprised if he doesn't play. Their "investigation" after all needs time to be completed before any penalties can be applied.

Damn, I'm really screwed. Since I have 7-8 different strains of bud, and a couple different types of hash, I'll probably be jumping from the Sears Tower soon. Nice knowing ya, fellas.

NOT NO WAY NEVER GONNA BE Freeze's fault.
EVERY opportunity to help these young men has been done.
THEY chose to make poor decisions.

First off, while it was religious zealots that created the marijuana prohibition in the first place, insulting modern religious folks won't Gerry you anywhere. While conservative religious people tend to be more in favor of maintaining the prohibition, many still are in favor of decriminalization and/or legalization.

Second, not all drugs should be legal. But treating drugs as a criminal issue needs to be changed. Users shouldn't be arrested, but should treated as a public health concern. Criminalization only creates criminals, instead of treating addiction that created crime.

Death is no respecter of age or social status.
Every moment could be your last.

Better hope the "OLDER" generation sticks around long enough to bail your butt out of your ignorance.

Hasn't ol Les given players multiple chances as well? Hell I remember he let the team decide if a troubled player could play or not.

Just sayin

The older generation has ignorance of its own. But look at the definition of ignorance. It's a lack of knowledge or information. It doesn't mean stupidity. Y'all were fed a little of intentionally deceitful information. You even made hemp illegal. It's not surprising many favor prohibition and criminalization. But looking at modern information and research, and it becomes clear that billions of dollars wasted and millions of lives ruined (not just users, but families and children) because a failed war on drugs. Addictive drugs should be illegal, but more jails wasn't the answer.

Actually the biggest opponents to legalizing drugs are the tobacco and alcohol companies. They are the biggest contributors of money to the "Partnership for a Drug-Free America" and other such programs. They don't want the competition.
