my real concern was alleviated with the knowldge that the bars will be open early. I am of age, and know how to act in enemy territory. I was just concerned with the early start time, we don't play that early very often, and I know a lot of Texas has some very antiquated blue laws that could prevent fun from happening early in the day

This start time ruined the most anticipated away game tailgate of the year.

We're making an "official" decision this morning.

The tailgating opportunity loss is truly tragic. A&M rolls out the Texas BBQ while LSU busts out the Gumbo and Cajun grub. Pretty much a non starter now or it will be a shell of what it could have been with the freaking 11AM start time. Gumbo and brisket just aren't the same at 9:30 in the morning. I was really fired up about this because when LSU last played us in the mid '90s A&M really didn't have a tailgate scene but now it is huge and growing larger every year.

I'm hoping the game is on TDay next year so they bust out the Fried Turkey injected with cajun spices.

Tailgating will still be large this weekend... it just won't be as rowdy as it would have been for a night start.

We are getting out there between 5-6 am and I'll be twisted off by 8 am.

I will say, tailgating with LSU fans is a fun time. Some are chill, some are not...but for the most part they do know how to do the thing...

The Corner should have a Bloody Mary bar Saturday morning.

How strict are they on underage drinking.

I always forget that other states take that seriously

It's meh... just depends. I've seen them be really cool for a string of months then be dicks for a couple months.

Not saying I don't love gumbo and brisket 24/7, just saying it isn't the same as it would be for a night game. Lots of Aggies are going to do breakfast tacos and bloodys instead of brisket and beer for instance. It's going to be fun, just not as crazy as it could have been.

Personally I am going to grab some Snow's BBQ in Lexington on the way, they open at 8AM!

Reed Arena SE Side... If you hit a home run over the LF fence of the Softball field and it lands in the Reed Arena Grass, we are right there...

Look for the Kyle Field and Reed Arena Beer Pong tables

If I were an Auburn fan this year, I'd take that advice and wake up/go to sleep with a bottle in hand
