There are no stats for being clutch or having balls.

But the kid is clutch and has balls.

So what makes him different than the other 43 starters on the field? You don't think every starter on both teams are clutch and have balls?

He's going to need a lot more than that.

Burrow is a leader and smart football player. That being said, he's a thoroughly average arm talent. The defense carries this team

Exactly.

Yes, significantly

We are undefeated. Let me guess if we only played Florida we would have a loss?

He's an upgrade version of Danny Etling. I would say he's Danny 2.0. Better and improved with less flaw in his game. His ability to lead, be confidence and his composure is what stand out to me.

I could see Florida taking y’all to the shed if their secondary was healthy.

Leadership, attitude, running ability, football IQ...

I think he would have more TD’s, if our coaching staff wasn’t so ready to take the sure 3, because they are so confident in our kicker, and we weren’t playing with a lead for so much of the season.

But we do have a running game. Nick Brossette has 10 rushing TDs. O-Line is not shitty and they are back to full force this week. This is a solid team and they don't really have a weak spot. Them baws will come together and play hard.

We have watched such ineptitude at that position for so long that we probably are over-valuing a pretty good QB that plays smart and makes throws at clutch moments.

But what you’re missing is intangibles, including toughness and leadership. He has made a huge difference this year, regardless of what the numbers show.

Will that enable LSU to outscore this crazy good Bama offense? Odds are against it, but he’s the kind of guy you’d put money on if it came down to crunch time.

We screwed the pooch against Florida, and Joe not playing well was the difference.

Florida is always tough for us.

He’s been robbed of at least a couple TD’s, has rushed for multiple TD’s, and is clutch af. All this with a whopping fall camp and eight games with the Tigers.

Also, he’s got that moxie and has us ranked third in the nation. I’m ridin with Burrow. Question is why aren’t you?

Danny Etling had much better numbers than Burrow. With that being said I've never really seen a better example of numbers not telling the entire story than comparing burrow to Etling.

Etling never challenged the middle of the field. Burrow does. Etling couldn't make the big throws in big games. Burrow does.

Essentially Burrow passes the eye test... Etling really didn't. Alabama fans should be familiar with the "eye test" as they have won a few national titles because of it.

One more thing to chew on. This season and QB play reminds me of Mettenburger in 2012 pre-bama when you could tell the skill set was there but it wasn't translating into big numbers. The Alabama game is really when Mett came into his own and took the next step.

You're giving up more sacks than 11 other SEC teams, and your YPC at 4.3 is second only to Tennessee in being the worst in the conference. You have no run game, and your offensive line is bad.

Bro you haven't watched an LSU game

Rushing defense (Yds/Attempt)
#11 Miami
#13 Mississippi State
#18 Auburn
and surprsingly low
#72 Georgia

Sacks
#7 Miami
#16 Auburn
#16 La Tech
#27 Florida
#27 Mississippi State

Miami, Auburn, Florida, and Mississippi State. LSU has played them all, and they are all considered to have top notch front 7 on defense. Really not even up for debate. Not to mention Jaylon Ferguson at La Tech will be a top round draft pick. He is a premier pass rusher. He ate us alive.

Just like Bama likes to hang 50 and rest starters, LSU likes to get up early and get real conservative. That is VERY clear through the play calling in many of these games. Coach O believes a win is a win whether it is by 50 or by 1. Against Miami, La Tech, Southeastern, and State, the gameplan was so conservative in the second half. Coach O knows his defense won't give up a ton of points, our punter will change field position, and that our FG kicker is money as long as we get to the 30. That alone will win us a ton of games.

ETA: The offensive line isn't bad. All but one player on the Oline has been out with injury at some point. It has been a carousel all season. Its amazing that they have been as productive as they are. They are finally all back and healthy for the first time since the first half of the Miami game.

The guy has thrown 6 TD's all season (3 against Ole Miss, 2 against SE LA). He threw 3 picks and 0 TD's in the entire month of October. Why are people hyping this guy up?

We are hyping him up because he is the best we have had since Mettenberger, not because he is some Heisman contender. Its like seeing water in the desert.

He is tough as nails, and he has played his best in the biggest moments. Like someone earlier said, he is just a winner.
