Western knocked Kentucky out of the 1971 NCAA tournament on their way to their only Final Four appearance. I think at one time in the 60s Kentucky and Western were #1 and #2 in all time wins. Western had a great program back then with guys like Clem Haskins and Jim McDaniels. Oh and Rex's dad Wayne Chapman.

You mean one of the first that was willing to travel to the South in the SEC. I believe only Vandy, Alabama, and Auburn preceded them.

That must be like Southern Miss students I know who are from Louisiana but couldnt get in to LSU who cheer for LSU over Southern Miss.
