I certainly did. He's a proven winner. DGAF what he did with the blonde slam piece

ETA: Also agree that Tennessee gonna get spanked by Western Kentucky Petrinos.

Western Kentucky is going to open up the season with 2 wins against SEC foesAlbeit mediocre (at best) opponents, Western Kentucky has already beaten Kentucky, and Tennessee is now the target for Bobby Motha-frickin' Petrino. He's coming.

He's got to serve his 1-2 year probation at WKU, then he'll be back on the big-time market and somebody will be willing to try him if they're ready to make a move. The problem is that no seat in the SEC is hot enough to be open after next season.

Who in the SEC could be gone after this year, or even next?

Mullen? Maybe, but it would take an implosion unlike we've ever seen.

Anybody else?

Muschamp could maybe be in trouble if he has a terrible year this year and another next year, but that's only because he's at Florida.

Richt, but only if he has losing seasons this year and next.

Any other SEC coach could be terrible this year and next and still probably keep his job. By then, Petrino will be grazing on the much softer grass of the Big Ten (or 12).

Yep, see NCSU game from last year. Petrino is going to stomp them like a roach.

O lawd...

Everyone knows AP was no test.

UT fans still think a 5 to 7 win season is likely, 8 if we get some breaks.

The Vols aren't world beaters but they're not complete slaw like UK.

UT - 34

WKU - 17

I think the Vols are terrible. But I can't trust WKU in terms of betting. Just can't do it. I passed on this line. Stuck with Florida(-3), Oregon(-22), Ohio state(28), and straight up Duke on my parlay. I know a lot of people didn't like the OSU line, but I know Urban. This guy will do everything it takes to win the spread for his alumni and few coaches win the spread more than him. He did it all the time at Florida. Wouldn't stop till the spread was covered vs bad teams.

There's still enough coachable talent at UT for them to decisively beat WKU. The roster is nowhere near stacked but there's enough there for them to take care of WKU and the lower tier SEC teams.

You guys gotta realize how poorly coached Dooley teams were. And I'm guessing not many on here were able to watch them play vs AP due to broadcast restrictions.

that is just it, talent does not matter except on d and you all will have to outscore the Petrino.

i think he has a Plan for UT and if they are not ready, look out. WKU on top and in a hurry

I'm sure Jones has a plan for Petrino as well.

Talent matters in every game, you can rarely win consistently on scheme and motivation alone. Giving up 26 to UK doesn't sound that great.

ETA: Being in Neyland won't help WKU either.

Yeah, it really mattered when you all came to fayetteville to face Petrino then poosayed out on the return trip to Tennessee. Having superior coaching talent embarrass your home team in front of its home crowd is never a good thing.

Tennessee should and probably will win but Petrino will have WKU believing they can win and they will put up a fight.

Petrino schemes better than any other coach in the whole of college football.

This is a really poor comparison

Arkansas had waaaay more talent than WKU does and that was a really young, Dooley coached team that had been riddled with injuries and playing away from home after enduring an already brutal schedule.

No dispute here.

He's really good but I'd hesitate to call him the best.

I guarantee you HCBMFP will have that team inspired. Momentum goes immediately to WKU. UT pulls out the win in the second half based sheerly on talent as long as they catch a few breaks.

UT comes out flat footed with fumbles and penalties all game, HCBMFP breaks it off in their arse.

I can live with that. Have you seen our 2014 schedule? Both UK and Vandy on it from the East and Auburn, Arkansas, and A&M (hopefully minus JFF) at home with 4 OOC cupcakes.

You might win 2 of those. UK for sure, others you'll be dogs.

I think Tennessee will win, but it'll be a close game. Petrino has had this game circled from the get go, just like he had the UK game circled.

Wait, are you saying that UT was afraid to play Arky once but wants to play Bama every year? Seems legit.

you tell me, after that butt kicking they sure did find a way to remove themselves from the schedule.

Seems the establishment gets to call their own shots in the SEC.

I really don't see them beating Tennessee. Vols win by 14+.
