I read that close to 80% of Mississippi State's students are in state students and a ton of Mississippi JUCO transfers go to State more than the other two combined due to more classes transferring and more scholarship money.

This year and the upcoming year more Freshman students will be from out of state at Ole Miss than in-state, which also makes this map pretty unreliable.

Also should the fact that State is centrally located work to their advantage for controlling the surrounding areas.

how do you get Starkville being Centrally located???

It's 2 hours from Jackson
Ole Miss is about 2:15 depending on how fast you drive.

Neither is close to the coast.

Those are the two most populated areas in the state. Along with DeSoto Co. Which is OM country.

This... Go to Memphis, Atlanta, or any other major southern city and start counting OM vs MSU. OM will win 5-1 all day errday. Blee Dat

One of my friends who went to Ole Miss lived next to some stuck up pricks from the Dallas area.

We had a party at my friends and invited them over and they honestly acted as if they were too good to come to a keg house part with a keg of bud light.

They live in Market District by any chance?

You don't get it. That's EXACTLY the point of the map, billboards, upcoming commercials. To attract the majority of in state students to Mississippi State.

Ole Miss can have the out of state students and become a Millsaps type of University as far as I'm concerned.

You really think more Memphis kids go to State than Ole Miss? Despite Memphis State being there, that is pretty much Ole Miss territory as well.
