That's the good thing about opinions. You don't have to have proof of anything really especially on a message board.

I am of the opinion that all Vols are missing more than one tooth. See how easy that is.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I would classify what you are doing right now as whining. I was having a conversation with my best friend that's a vegan/gump/rabbit before you butted in while I was trying to explain how I couldn't quite comprehend some of the optimism. Is that too much for you to handle? I don't mean to upset you so.

TT9, we should take it easy before this one has palpatations.

LMAO. No gator what you were doing was hijacking a thread by 'concern trolling' and setting up standards and claims no one was making.

I'm not concerned about the Vols at all.

Everything I said was true.

Someone did agree that butch = saban

Really? Everything? We can verify opinions now?

They quoted you and if they agree with that right now rather than as (smartass 'you said it' type of response) they're foolish.

Everything I said about being worried about UT hiring a good coach. That's the truth to which I was referring. I thought you would be able to follow along.

And yet you've determined we haven't ergo your opinion is as unfounded as anyone else's.

It depends on whether or not you understood what good meant to me. It seems like you may not though.

I don't think Butch being what 6th on your list of candidates was good. Anyway, here's to approaching 10 in a row. I'll buy you a beer it it happens.

the only way that could be possible for us is if a legit coach wanted that dumpster fire. Fortunately for us, nobody wanted it.

I will take you at your word when you say your statement "I was worried they were gonna get someone good" did not mean to imply that we got someone bad.

That said, Jones wasn't 6th. He was closer to 2 or 3. Gruden was never happening at all to begin with. Gundy was also never happening but a matter of due diligence since he was flirting hot and heavy to get his raise. Strong was also a flirt but he was probably the real 1st choice.

At worst he's 3rd on the list with Gundy and Strong being hard sells given the current state of their programs AND their subsequent ADs matching any offer.

This thread reeks of insecurity from Vol fans. You guys are desperately defending a dying program.

So look... There's plenty of room on the Vandy bandwagon. We can get you rednecks some thick rim glasses and a fresh haircut. Fake it til you make it. You would have to do your best to keep your mouth shut or risk being identified as a RockyTop hillbilly.

It could work...

This is ironic... Because up until last year the only Vandy fans were families of the players... So basically toothless, poor rednecks is all you would find at Vandy games.

Huge difference. Kelly left him with loads of talent and he couldn't beat a awful coach/team.

LOL, Congrats on posting the dumbest fricking comment out of this thread, and given the whole Let's push them back east of the cumberland plateau bull shite that's pretty hard to do

If by "Loads of talent" you mean the 45 2* and 1 4* Kelly brought in all the while finishing lower then Vandy Pre Franklin in recruiting every time. Then frick yeah, he left him a lot of talent to work with or you're just a moron who wrote a bunch of shite she didn't have a clue about. FTR Butch still beat the Hell outta Franklin with that high school talent you were referring to

This myth has been, debunked

That's plenty of talent to beat a shite coach like Dooley and he couldn't do it still. I mean Joker Phillips beat him that year and Butch couldn't.

Again, sorry nobody worth a Damn wanted the Tennessee job.

He was good enough to beat Charlie Strong and James Franklin that year and win the conference as a 2nd year HC with Cincy.

Tell us more about how Saban got blown out 38-0 to a unheard of Stanford team with less talent, I mean a 2-9 Jerri Pettibone and Oregon St. beat them that year and Saban couldn't.

BJ 50 - 27 > NS 43 - 26 before UT / LSU

But he was an absolute fricking terrible hire

Now you're comparing dogshit Jones to Saban. You can't get much dumber than that.
