It's year 1, so I'd at least give him a minimum of 3 to show something.
But, a main reason why Alabama is so bad is because they have zero fundamentals. That's Goff's fault and he needs to go back to square one this summer if he wants to keep his job.

Normally I'd say he needs at least three years. But this has been a disaster.
Gaspard got shite, and left a bad roster. But even he managed to hover around .500 in league play most years. And only missed the post season once.

Gaspard missed postseason play 3 out of 7 years. He was terrible also. Out of his 7 year stint, he had 1 season above .500 in SEC play in 2014 (15-14).
Goff does recruit well so you have to at least get his recruits as sophomores to see what he can do.

Defining post season as SEC tournament and beyond. Alabama missed in 2012.
And hovered as in 14-16, 15-14, etc. That 9-21 conference record in 2012 sinks the average.

After this year, things should get better.
As long as Serrano and Stricklan are in the SEC, everyone has a chance to not be the bottom 2.
