Going to be tough for us to finish at the top. Half our lineup can't hit their weight and we are still very thin on the pitching side. Not to mention we still have LSU and Auburn left on the schedule.

Don't get me wrong, I am ecstatic about our play. Cann has pulled a rabbit out of the hat this season with what he had to work with.

Arkansas is way too low. If they come out this weekend with a series win @Auburn I expect a huge jump up.

We are 4th in the SEC in batting average.

I wish all the polls would take South Carolina out of the polls. Don't deserve it with their current state of play.

I have to agree. Sure the RPI is only top 20 and SOS is in the 80s, but the 4-3 vs the top 25 is strong to go along with a 29-8 record.

That's because the other half has been tearing the cover off the ball.

A series win at Auburn would put them at 6-4 vs. the top 25. With 5 wins coming on the road and over 30 wins. At that point you've got to have them in the top 5.

Have to agree. MSU's offense isn't bad, but Arkansas is hitting .300 as a TEAM. That's nuts in conference play.

Auburn will finish with around 16 wins in conference. Brutal stretch coming up for us.

You think we only win six games out of this schedule?

I see 9 wins there, give or take a game.

I'd say 8 or 9, probably. Outside of Bama, they're all pretty much a toss up.

Added NCBWA, which I rarely do because it comes out so damn late.

I figured a sweep of bama and winning the home series while losing the away ones.
