There is no reason for the SEC to be a poor basketball conference. With all the money and natural athletes, there is just no good reason at all. So, we should talk about it and bring more attention to it. Raise awareness and get rid of the complacency. The entire conference needs to improve.

I can't believe Vandy made it to #7

It can't be repeated enough, this conference is a gigantic clusterfrick

Priorities semo. Priorities in this conference lie elsewhere. With that said, I agree with you. I would like basketball to be taken more seriously, especially at LSU.

I understand priorities. But men's basketball is the 2nd most profitable sport, which is why i find it puzzling. You'd think it would have the 2nd priority after football but that doesn't seem to be the case.

It is easily the second priority at Tennessee.

I may get flack for this, but I also wish there were men's soccer teams. Basketball and soccer were my two favorite sports growing up. But more on point..it seems a few more SEC teams are making a little noise this year with Ole Miss, Tenn, LSU, and Mizzou to go along with Florida and Kentucky.

Baffling is not the word most of our posters would use to describe this season.

ESPN wants to protect it's basketball franchise in the ACC. Look at the leap the ACC got in basketball coverage when ESPN was starting to rise. Unless the SEC owns the product, like the BTN and PTN, they are going to sit second fiddle to ESPN promoting the ACC.

ESPN has a lot more invested in the SEC than the ACC.

If the SEC was event decent in hoops, they would get plenty of coverage.

The SEC Network will help with that.

The top and the bottom of the graph is starting to settle in.

I did the RWB USA in homage to the TAMU vs OK State game. Most may not get it but the TAMU fans should. While "Mirror Out" never came to pass, the RWB game became a great reality. I like to think the guy in the pic was there for that game.

ACC has too many deep roots into ESPN to let the folks at the top have the ACC take a hit in basketball to the SEC. I really think Skipper and Slive have a handshake agreement between 2 ACC alum to let the SEC be strong in football and the ACC be strong in basketball.

Not necessarily saying we steal any thunder from ACC hoops anytime soon, but the Network will certainly help the SEC brand compete across multiple platforms and sports.

Yeah, I'm not quite sure how we lose to Rhode Island and beat Kentucky.

Easier to get up for a game against Kentucky. You practice harder leading up to and pay more attention in practice/film when preparing to play Kentucky.

Plus the gym will most likely be full for Kentucky.
