They sure didn't show it last night. Geno Smith is going to sodomize them in Austin next week...and knowing the sips, they'll sip mimosas while it's happening.

No defense was played in that game. It was atrocious. WV vs TX will be won by whoever has the ball last, just like last night.

I would be concerned about Oregon at this point. Ole Miss did expose Bama's D when they aren't given time to substitute. They dinked and dunked and we eventually had some trouble getting to the outside on some plays. I think against conventional offenses though, Bama would be dominate.

Still working out the bugs. Good to be in a game that starters had to play 4 qtrs, eventually they will have to do it and otherwise may not have been ready. Good job by Ole Miss coming to play. Oh, dump the west coast start time. By end of 1st quarter no one wanted to be there.

I could have passed for 300 yds in that game. Typical Big 12 ball. No defenders within 15 yds of receivers. It was like watching real live XBox, your Champions team against an FCS defense.

Mett was like 15-28 for 238 or something like that. There are so many issues with this team right now though it is pathetic. I just hope the Tide represent the SEC well this year because they are the only team I've seen so far that has a chance of winning the title.

I think Bama's defense is fine. I think Freeze did a good job of adjusting his offense to take advantages where they had them against our defense. Remember this is a very good offensive football team that Bama held to 14 pts. Our OL did a great job of protection last night and OM brought people every play. I did not realize they were so aggressive. Because of the constant blitzes we couldn't sit back their all day and throw the ball downfield. OM played very inspired football and Hugh freeze has that program headed in the right direction. I respect the hell out of that OM team.

I think UF's previous opponents looked better than they looked against us. Which can only be a good thing right?

I wouldn't. If we ended up playing Oregon it would be in a BCS bowl where we would be given plenty of time to prepare for their no-huddle offense. Auburn's terrible defense in 2010 were able to slow them down.

I can count on one hand the number of times Ole Miss actually got to the edge against us last night.

I think our defense also needs to get ready to see a lot of no huddle this yr. That fast paced offense was quite effective against us last night.

I think you can "get 'em up to play" 4-5 times a yr, and we haven't been up yet (Wash was close). That being said, next week we'll find out if our "up" is what it needs to be. It's obvious our sleep-walking is pretty bad. Dirk Diggler better turn Terminator because I'm not sure we can protect him next week.

Not many teams you can sleep on anymore unless you're playing Ark. Yesterday was a perfect example of that for a lot of teams.

If by effective you mean they actually scored against us then yes, it was effective. Our defense held them to just over 200 yards of offense.

You're right 87, Oregon has a few better playmakers, still noyb gonna concede a great D like a lot of announcers and talking heads are saying for the Ducks, but AU dominated the lines of scrimmage bottom line and BAMA would do the same

According to the hillbillies, TN just gave up against us. I guess they didn't care about the streak. And I don't see how they will end it next year.

The problems LSU faces are deeper than simple execution. LSU has five starters out for the long term. I do not feel confident that we will solve our Dline issues in such a way that allows us to win every one of these games.

LSU also lacks swagger. That swagger last year was backed up on the field. They aren't able to sustain their dominance from week to week and demoralize teams like last year.

Coming out flat against a Towson-type team happens to most teams. They didn't want to be there. I think they come out ON FIRE against UF, especially since they will just hear they suck all week and it is on the road. But will they be able to withstand further injury ? Probably not.

LSU is listless and bored right now. Is that a systemic team issue, or is that because of the Cupcake Row they've played, who knows ? But I think we find out in the next two weeks.

Well they were the only team to date who was able to actually sustain two drives so it was effective. It certainly isn't because they have better personnel so my thought is it was coaching and the difficulty it caused with us being able to rotate fresh guys in. We were unable to establish that methodical rhythm on either side of the ball. Freeze did an outstanding job.

If you mean O Line, i totally agree. Losing Faulk was a killer. Huge problem w a QB that can't get out of pocket.....at all.

What made last year so special and unfamiliar. Every wk you just knew we were going to smoke teams. Becoming apparent #7 had a lot to do with the consistent "swaggitude"

I think we will know all we need to know next wknd.

The jury is still out on us. We got off to good 4-0 starts the past 2 seasons and tanked.
Offense certainly looks better though, and there's no Bama to f us up this year.

Just wondering who Ole Miss would rather play on a neutral field, Texas or Bama.

Serious question.
