It just adds to the hype and looks better on paper when it is 2 ranked teams facing each other. Does it mean anything in reality, no.

How many yards did UF have in over times?
I still thought their offense was hot garbage during the game. Maybe I'm wrong.

Not much, it was only 3 OT, so it wouldnt drastically affect total yardage.
Regardless, UF couldnt get points, and that's what matters. You can have 500 yards of offense but if you have 20 points to show for it your offense sputtered quite a bit.

coaches usually over value teams they play against, partly because they know more about them and partly because they WANT to believe those teams are good.
It's really not far from being as inaccurate as the other polls though.

All human based polls are inaccurate because they continue take pre-season perceptions of teams all the way through the end.

Which is a tiny dent in 500 some yards. 16 points out of 36 total is much more significant.
Fact is UF's offense sputtered badly this game. 20 points against UK in regulation and was 5 of 16 I believe on 3rd down.

Auburn has 8 ranked opponents prob 9 if u count MSU after they beat up on LSU. What a tuff schedule
