This vindicates those saying he never should have been fired to begin with. Hopefully he somehow gets the head coaching job and we can at least beat Aggie again.

It begs the question. Did admin force the hire without Pittman blessing or did Pittman ask for him or was involved in search/hire?
Its smart. HC always gets bigger limelight so as OC he’ll take less PR hit from his biking incident. Then next middle/end of year when Pittman gets fired Patrino moves right in and fans will have been over the biking incident by then.
Very calculated and smart way to get him back as HC

The money people refused to pay this year's buyout. So it wasn't an option.
