not even close to being true.
It's absolutely true, and Cam Newton was paid for.

Yeah...but you were replying to this post:

Auburn has won one title since 1957. Quit acting like national titles are a regular occurrence for your shite football program.
Lame face saving attempts only make you appear more stupid than we already know you are.

My point is.....Auburn has won quite a few Championships since 1957. No saving face. It's you gumps who are acting like tools..............you know, because Conference Championships aren't really Championships, right?

Unfortunately I think they have a very good shot at getting Chip after he gets fired by the 49ers next year. Pretty much all of the top programs are locked in with coaches for the next couple years. Maybe Texas A&M gets rid of Sumlin but he has a huge buyout. That probably buys him a few more years at least.

This thread would've been better like 2 years from now.

I don't see Chip coaching in the SEC. He may one day, but he has no ties to this part of the country. I think if he goes back to the college game, it will be at a Pac school.

Lol what a bunch of pathetic losers.

A genuinely quality troll, imo. tRant could us more on this level even though I'm a bit confused as to why Aubie of all schools would be behind it and prefer not to be the subject matter.
To answer your question as honestly as I know how... Of course fans think it's a damn shame it's been that long and would've like to have seen something wayyy earlier. At the same time we've also had a bad run in general and one that's been an anomaly when the totality of UT football is looked at. Back to back to back to back bad coaches have that effect and those asshats have accounted for at least half the time in question. Our AD hasn't been decent/competent the entire time (well at least since 02). We dearly miss Doug Dickey.
And we've done no better in hiring ADs (If you take a real look at UT - football is not the only thing that's suffered in this time frame). Not by a long shot.
I think we'd go a long damn way towards righting things if we hire Blackburn as AD. This dry spell has corresponded with a dearth of Tennessee people at Tennessee as well as folks with strong ties (we went from decades of UT people in charge in some manner or another to running away from a formula that worked -- hell even the non-Tennesseans were immersed enough to where they might as well have been Tennesseans/those with prior familiarity) and Blackburn would go a long way towards helping fixing that too.
That said, UT fans are always restless. Always.

Thought we were discussing national titles. And runnerup in the conference ain't winning. We've been runner-up more recently than capturing a title but it's a stoopid brag.

The topic should be more about, which program, UT or AU, will win their 3rd national title first?
If history had been different, Tennessee would be rightful national champions in 1938, 1940, 1950.
For Auburn: 1983, 1993, 2004.
This would still put both at a tie with 5 each.
Both are championship deprived. Auburn is the better program at present. Tennessee is the better program historically. Both are due, even though Auburn was close in 2013.
