That would be ridiculous. There are 4 AU backs.

You don't know what a watch list is do you? This isn't list the premier running back. Everyone knows Yeldon is going to be the feature running back. He's saying who has a chance to have a break-out season...Thats all.

No he's not. The title is "WDE24's Top 5 SEC Running Backs - Watch List".

Who's saying that Yeldon and Drake or Henry couldn't both be in the top 5? Is he assuming that only 1 RB from each school will be?

They could, but it is unlikely.

Well, once games are played this list is predicated on actual on field performance. It is possible that more than one player from the same school could make the top 5, but it doesn't happen often.

I just happen to think that Yeldon is so good that the other guys won't have the opportunity to put up the numbers to make the list. For that reason, I have resisted putting them on the watch list. However, whether or not they make the pre-season watch list, they can still earn their way on the Top 5 list through their performance.

This thread was really just a way for fans of schools to make me aware of some potential RBs in the league that I may be unaware of. Mostly for schools whose top RBs from last year have moved on or for teams like Mizzou and UK whom I am not familiar with their rosters.

I hope you are correct. Scott does not need to be a feature back and Mathers has the potential to be an absolute stud.

He's made it perfectly clear that only one Alabama RB gets listed.

And his explanation was perfectly rational.

Had reading comprehension really become this bad in this country?

He is the 5th leading returning SEC RB by yards per game and will be the starter for OM to begin the season (and most likely throughout the season). Seems worthy enough to make a watch list.

No....

If this list were the top 5 running backs to run 20 yards horizontally to gain 1 yard vertically then he'd be numero uno

Which is why he, nor any other OM RB, will likely be on the list once it is released. However, he is deserving of being on the watch list and he will remain.

You have failed to convince me to have him removed. However, you do get credit for at least giving a reason for wanting him removed. Others have not been so obliging.

You really think Taylor should be on this list? I'm not opposed to it. There will be lots of competition for carries at UF and WM is going to run the ball a ton. I suppose I could see it. Give me a convincing argument.
