How much of a penalty do you put on production against FCS teams?

quote:There is no exact penalty, rather the committee, in addition to looking at production in all games, also looks at production vs. FBS opponents, production vs. Power 5 opponents, and production v.s conference opponents. Then the committee further looks at the strenght of the individual teams the production has come against.

Notably, many are upset with the CAP ranking, but all the numbers support his ranking. Indeed, he is averaging 140 yards per game and 6 yards per touch against SEC opponents. That is substantially better than other back not named Gurley or Robinson.

Glad to see Fournette and Yeldon are worth a mention

If you think they should be higher, I would be happy to listen to your reasoning of why and who they should be ahead.

He's almost reached Fournette territory

Really more LSU's o-line that was over rated, not him. LF is averaging approximately 38 yards less per game through 7 games than Gurley did his freshman season. I have zero doubt if LSU's much heralded o-line had played half as good as they were suppose to he would be right there with Gurley number wise. If the line plays the rest of the season like they did against UF, he will finish with close to 1200 yards and 15-17 TDs.

LOL at people saying that a RB nobody talks about or respects yet still puts up really productive numbers is overrated. Pretty much the polar opposite.

So? Gurley/Chubb/Sony all split some carries early on as well.
The cream rises to the top.

That analysis is kind of funny when you consider that those that criticize Cartis Payne do so because he is productive because of the system, not because he is an overwhelming talent. You've basically correctly identified precisely why people think CAP isn't so much good as he is a product and are laughing at it for some reason.
ETA: I also like that WDE goes with Cameron-Artis Payne instead of Cameron Artis-Payne. I thought you were an Auburn fan, bro.

CAP is the most over rated RB in the SEC.
All time, until CAP wins the Heisman, that title still belongs to Ingram.

He's called him Cartis on several occasions as well. The hyphenated name gives all announcers fits.
