ISWYDT with the bold font. And I don't think Tyler wants to coach Tennessee, yet.

I wonder the last time Tennessee was ranked that low? How far does Holly fall before Hart does something? Whatever he decides to do, it'll have to be blessed by Pat.

At this point, I highly doubt Pat has to give a blessing. Holly has had her chance and she's flailing around. Having a group of great individual athletes that don't know how to play as a team demonstrates pretty pitiful coaching. She stayed an assistant too long and never established her own voice and authority. There's no rhyme or reason to what this team does - no strategy or cohesion because Holly is still waiting for the HC to show up and take over.

That said, if Hart feels he needs to pay Pat homage with the next hire, it's not as though she doesn't have a ginormous coaching tree and tons of former colleagues who she shared ideas with that would all be worthy candidates to take over.

And he should. That said, he needs to wait until he's ready. He's going to have enough weight on his shoulders when he finally steps into TBA as our coach. He was the kid we watched grow up on that very court and the son of a legend. None of us want to screw that up by making it happen at the wrong time for him and our program.

He'll be a damn good coach one day but timing is everything in coaching. This shouldn't be anyone's starter job - Holly is prove enough of that and we all know Pat was one in a million.

I agree ... this current UT team is uber talented but is not playing as a team. That's a problem some times when there are too many superstars on a team. Takes a special coach to bring them together.

Dawn Staley seems to be good at doing it ... Pat Head Summit was the master. Geno Auriemma is obviously very very good at it as well.

I'm somewhat concerned that Tennessee will come after Nikki McCray if they fire Holly. We'd miss her if they did and she goes ... she is an excellent recruiter and Xs and Os coach on Staley's staff, but she is a PHS disciple.
