It's Almost like he threw that game away on purpose. Ware didn't have a clue a very high pitch was coming. Probably got paid by the REC

Yeah I here ya. Don't follow enough to know if there was a big talent gap between 2011/2012 and of course JFF but...the 2nd half performance of this years club and previous is huge.

Probably knew he had zero chance at making money in the pros and sold out to make some last-minute cash

ETA: he's on the practice squad for a CFL team now lollllll

I want to see how good Johnny Manziel will look without two first round offensive tackles protecting him next year.

I think McCarron has a great game vs ND, and opt for the pros

Yeah, no. He has a chance to be one of the first three QBs taken after his Senior season, break every Bama QB record you can think of, and win the last BCS Title. He won't give up on all of that.

I could see it argued either way

This year's quarterback class is terrible, terrible, terrible... if he thinks he can really make it as a pro this is the year to go and get a real shot somewhere.

If he won't ever make it as a player in the NFL he should stay and break school records

Well the problems are that:
1) Matthews the will likely come back, shift to LT, and play about as well as Joeckel did this year.
2) We've got another mega hoss named Joseph Cheek who was a redshirt fish this year and who'll be ready to step in. Talent-wise, he's potentially first day material (his dad played OL in the NFL for quite awhile, so he's got the bloodlines).

Yea, Mike Sherman couldn't coach a 2nd half to save his life, but he recruited an insane amount of OL talent. It's not out of the realm of possibility that 4-5 of his OL recruits are first day draft picks.

So anyway, the point is, you might have to keep waiting if you want to see Johnny without a top notch OL.

Believe it or not there's a learning curve for OL regardless of talent, just not a position many can just step in and play at a high level although his talent I'm sure is admirable.

I still think its crazy you Aggies are so confident about Matthews, but whatever, time will tell.

Losing the center Patrick Lewis is a HUGE deal as well, centers are not easily replaced, and the fact that JFF is going to be in the shotgun a lot could open up some opportunities for mistakes in big moments, but thats part of the growing process and the best teams overcome that.

Manziel is so mobile that any offensive line losses will not be felt as much as they would at most schools. Hell most of his best plays were when the defense blitzed, got instant pressure and he either took off or ran around and threw against sinle overage.

Just think, if Johnny Interception wouldn't have thrown all those interceptions versus LSU not only would A&M be ranked ahead of LSU right now......but A&M would have had a legitimate chance to be ranked ahead of LSU in the next preseason poll.

I think Bama is probably overrated at #1, but I know for sure that A&M is overrated at #2.
