Also, imagine the nerdy arse comments occasionally smattered between the the 95 percent of "frick frick frick frick frick" and "frick YEAH!" (e.g things alsong the lines of 'Marcel Duschamp is coaching my team to Dadaist greatness!' 'I think my offense/defense/coach is waiting for Godot.', 'Oh really. You wanna talk Duschamp? You ever listen to Dooley's pressers,' 'I didn't realize my team was into limit experiences. I was wrong,').

Hey, just so long as your 'fricks' are said with élan and the proper amount of cussing savoir-vivre, I approve. I'm less approving of Marcel, mainly because the only Marcel worth mentioning is a certain world-famous mime.

Also, I had to type "cafe" into my word processing program, which automatically accented the 'e', then steal it and paste it in front of 'lan' in the reply box to get the word correct. I'm such a fricking dweeb sometimes. And I say that with as much savoir-faire as I can manage. Still wanna hang out?

I actually LOVE Marcel Duschamp. He was original and Dadaism had something to say. IIRC, their big first appearance was anti-war.

It's all the copycats these days (and even later on who weren't a part of Earlier Dadaism I take issue with because they never have a real meaning behind it all or come up with something new. Ok Duchamp since I had to look something up. Migraine make Prof dumb although French has always been weird for me since I didn't take it.

I mean who can't love Duchamp's "Fountain" and all it represented? It seems cliche today and would be if a new artist did it but that's because Dadaism and other schools shattered norms.

And no worries, I can do hella good impersonations with study and would totally go along your request there.

And yet another edit: My memory was correct: they were anti-war at the time. I'm not anti-all wars but I respect folks who stood up then since it really was not easy to do and IIRC it was WWI they were against.

Redact... Prof is slowly dropping from my list.

I prefer Giacometti over Duschamp.

Don't redact me, bro.

My favorite is Michaelango. With Duchamp it's a matter of thinking Fountain was freaking hilarious given the time. Matisss, Picasso, and Dali are some of my faves as well (esp. Picasso during his cubist phase).

This (below) is what I like about Duchamp (can't think of another I love or even know well by him). Again because titling the work (below) "Fountain" is fricking brilliant.

Y'all might recognize what this object really is:
