and Mizzou was consistently ranked dead last in the SEC in recruiting.

Bama wins by massively out-talenting their opponents. It's like using cheat codes in video games. However, Saban's sub .500 tenure in the NFL proves that he can't win when the playing field is level.

Washington is severely out-manned, but Chris Petersen is a much better coach than Saban. Washington and its 2* and 3* players will embarrass 5* loaded Alabama team.

any Washington fan would happily trade coaches and players right now.

I was totally with you all the way up to the very last sentence..remove the last sentence, and your post will have more favorable results.

If Washington wins, it would be a larger upset than had Florida won. Saban is a far superior coach and he has proven it over and over. Peterson is a great coach, also. But, he is no Saban. Not even close. If Alabama is in championship mode and not sleep walking, they will not only win, they will be ahead by 35 at halftime.

I agree, but it will be because of a massive edge in talent, not coaching.

You really don't know how coaching works. You have no idea what you are talking about.

Petersen is a small-school coach at heart. He'll be going for a high-risk, high-reward gameplan to try to conceal the talent disparity.

Not really, no. Not because you're wrong about Saban being a superior coach, but because Washington will be playing a style that Florida can't -- or won't -- resort to. Petersen will be coaching an extremely ad hoc offense that could conceivable keep them in the game as long as they manage to keep Bama off-balance. Not likely, but more likely than anything Nussmeier came up with.

You might want to re-read my post. I said Saban was the superior coach. Just so it's clear, I consider him the best coach in CFB by a comfortable margin.
