It's sad when I venture to the SECRant and see more confidence in LSU from other teams fans than I do from our own.

I think it is just because all of our fans expected Les to make Mettsiah a gun slinger and LSU throw for 300 yards. Yesterday was just a reality check for many fans who don't realize we are still going to run the ball....alot.

This, plus there was an inordinate amount of screens. But I think this is a setup for tougher foes (with a fake and WR goes long).

I will be honest. At first, I was very disappointed last night. But when do we ever blow out teams, really?
We got 500+ yards, just had a hurricane and I am sure players weren't all into the game. New qb with his first start. And to end it all, we ran like 6 different plays the whole night.
We won't be looking like this against the big boys.

Zach got a chance to build confidence, and he did make throws we wouldn't have for last 4 years. Found out Jarvis can catch anything in the area. Odell is a guy one shouldn't kick to. Hilliard/Blue/Copeland in stride. Jalen did well. Eric will surely have better games. The passing protection needs work, which I'm sure will be a priority.

Our running game IMO, looks even better than last year. Eric Reid shouldn't have jumped that route...but...it was against North Texas. He took a chance when it didn't matter, so can't complain to much there.
I'm not to worried. Once our secondary gets a little experience under their belt, LSU will be just as good as last year.

And we didn't even use Ware or Hill and saw only a little bit of Ford. We are absolutely stacked at runningback.

I know the LSU world wants us to throw the ball a lot more....but....why should we? Good lawd that running attack just is scurry.

We ran the ball like gangbusters. Our fans are dumb for the most part.

I just started posting on the Rant and I really do not get the LSU fans..

I am a die hard LSU fans and have been since the Tommy Hodson days

We looked good last night and beat a team 41-14. One of the TD was because of a mistake a vet made and we were up big time at that point so he went for the INT. Plus that Texas kids was pretty fast once he was going

I do not get how they complain about the way we win

I mean 12 - 0 last reg seasona and 1-0 this season that is 14-0 in reg season games..

Works for me. I say run the ball down everybody's throats..I love a bruising running game..
