What in the hell happened in that game aubies?

Texas A&M had been getting destroyed in every which way the previous 3 weeks, and then all the sudden Kyle Allen walks into JHS with an infinite amount of chest to come out with the win.

I remember asking the same thing. Just another week in the SEC.

Same thing that happened against Miss State and Alabama and even Wisconsin to a degree.

Bad mistakes and a piss poor defense that got us in a hole and then squandered way too many opportunities for points throughout the game.

I went back not too long ago and counted the "should have been touchdowns" in Auburn's losses against Miss State and Alabama, and in those two games alone, there were something like eleven red zone opportunities that either amounted to nothing or a field goal or a turnover.

No pass rush and average DBs against that group of receivers?

The Ol' Ball Coach could have limped onto the field and knocked the rust out of his shoulder and we still would have given up 300+ in the air.

False. We won the week before vs ULM (Allen's first start).

The two weeks before that we lost with Kenny Hill at the helm. Totally different team.

From what I've heard, the AU locker room was lost especially on the defensive side of the ball after the Jermaine Whitehead suspension.

How a coaching staff can lose the focus, attention and respect of half the team mid-season is just crazy to me.

Allen looked pretty good for a true Freshman coming in that late in the season. He got better. Should be really good this year. If Chavis gives them a decent D they'll be hard to beat.

We were outplayed. What factors contributed to the underperformance, who knows.

The number one QB recruit in the nation will do that. I don't see why Kyle Allen isn't getting more preseason hype. Some rankings don't even have him as a top 5 QB in the conference. So much lolz.

I mean, not really.

We had 9 more first downs, 130 more yards, and held the ball for 5 minutes longer.

It's hard to beat any team when you turn the ball over three times however.

they decided to defend Allen like he was Kenny Hill and it massively blew up in their face.

We limped through a game against ULM, but I understand the sentiment.

We definitely hit the wall midseason. We had a young team and also kenny hill was a pretty big part of an internal rift. Kyle is great but he has holes in his game as well. I expect him to have several huge games this year, and probably a few that make you scratch your head.

When so many of your best players are freshman/sophomores, you have to expect things to be up and down. I don't think the kids were ready to blowout SC and the hype that came with it, only to be let down in a major way.

I expect we'll be much more consistent this year, but no one is immune from the grind of the SEC. ARKY and State were both very physical teams last year and a lot of our guys just weren't ready.

But Jeremy Johnson! Pretty sure Allen and Johnson have the same amount of SEC wins in Jordan Hare

3 turnovers against any team (OM-Bama too) will kill you.
Also Bama struggle snuggled the shite out of A&M the weeks before and they probably relaxed a tad to much.
