Sorry to disappoint the haters, but Simmons is a lock to be 1st overall.

We lost on the road to a top 10 team.

I could be madder.

The OP made a very stupid comment.

I really wish the media would chill out with all the hype. However good Simmon's "basketball IQ" is, it became clear pretty early that he doesn't have much offensive game outside of his height and ability to run the court.

So we've started to hear all the "he just excels at a different level, you wouldn't understand because you don't know basketball" crap.
Anytime you have to be a genius to see something, it isn't really there,

I think Simmons is special. I love his game and think he's going to be a star.

But we still beat that arse.

The one-and-done rule is stupid. Either lock them in for 3 years, like football and baseball, or let them go directly to the pros.

That's not the kind of player he is. He is special, and will be really good in the NBA, but he is not a good enough ball handler to be a one man offense.

How? It's like he doesn't care or doesn't try hard half the time.

First half, aggies steal the ball, go down, miss the layup, aggies rebound and make the shot. From the tv angle you see Simmons and he hasn't even crossed the hash mark on the other side of the court.

This was the third time I've watched him, and the hype warranted him being able to take over games. I just don't think he's that type of player. He reminds me of Lamar Odom. Odom was obviously a very good pro, but the comparisons and hype for Simmons were much higher

He's a FANTASTIC ball handler for a 6'10" player.

He doesn't have a jump shot or the strength to back down a big guy.

He'll get both and be a great nba player.
