We missed shots all night.

Your guards harrassed ours and we couldnt get open threes.

We just played like total shite and Tennessee was in control for the last 30 minutes of the game.

LSU played frickin street ball. Lots of one-on-one play. I counted multiple trips in a row where we had 2 or less passes on a possession.

Settled for contested jumpers. A lot from really bad spots on the floor it felt like.

UT owned the boards. (haven't seen stats-just an assumption from watching the game). LSU's rebounding in the 2nd half was turrible.

Nobody for LSU could get to thye hole. It got to the point where everytime a jumper was thrown up I was just praying for a trash bucket. Didn't happen much.

LSU needs more depth. We tried to press which was non-effective.

Yall got a good team.

Can't wait to have Hornsby and Gray next year.

Appreciate that.

When Maymon and Stokes come down on the boards and hit free throws and Barton, Richardson, and McCrae hit their shots it's a tough team to beat.

Inconsistency is the problem

hickey can get to the rim relentlessly, trouble is he is afraid of contact because he is a poor FT shooter so he usually looks for the kickout or pulls back and resets.

the biggest problem with this team right now is the poor production from the vets... JOB, stringer, shuga, hickey. you can only rely on a young stud like mickey or a raw talent like martin so much.

still think they get it together but the last two games have been miserable. no emotion whatsoever. cant play baketball without emotion or what happened last night becomes a theme.

This LSU shoots much better than it did last night. That being said, what worries me is the lack of opportunities to make up for losses like the last two. This team cannot afford to lose games it SHOULD win and will have to win a few against better teams.

Tennessee has a good basketball team

That was an awful showing last night - not improvement at all for an SEC opener at home. But yeah, leading up to these last two games, they had looked good. They won against Butler and Memphis made a good comeback to beat them. They looked like they'd rather be somewhere else last night. At least against Rhode Island they looked like they wanted to win even though they were getting outhustled. They better wake up fast - coaches and the players. They have good talent and could be dangerous if they play like they did earlier in the year.

Wat?

That's all it was. Lsu wasn't good last year, but you had a nice recruiting class that was "hyped" to get you into the tourney this year. That's not gonna happen. So yes, Lsu is not living up to the preseason hype right now.

Martin has been beyond disappointing this year. He takes shots from 10-12 feet out all the time and I never see him make them. He is also very timid and when he does drive the line he just kicks it out even though he is huge.

Also, when Stringer takes as many bad shots as he has over the last few games, he is literally worthless on the court. If he can't score (0 points vs UT) then all we have is a short guard who cannot defend longer guards like Mcrae and won't get rebounds against them.

We do not fricking move on offense. It drives me crazy. We could make things a lot easier on ourselves if somebody would just cut to the basket every once in a while instead of 5 guys being completely stationary just passing it around the perimeter waiting for JOB to get in a good post position.

Tennessee did an excellent job last night of forcing us to play their tempo and style of basketball.

We got outcoached thoroughly

No. I saw multiple posters claiming they were a "lock" for the tourney. Unless we're talking NIT, this team isn't a lock for anything.

Where were the adjustments? Lsu trailed by ~14 for almost the entire game.

It was legit because of the recruiting class coming in and JOBIII staying.

However, this is still a very young team who will take some lumps during its growing pains.

I'll be happy with an NIT bid.

I like Johnny Jones...don't get me wrong.

But he was on another planet last night. He doesn't call timeouts in the first half, and we could have put a stop to that big Tennessee run with a couple of timeouts
