No one said its a requirement... but its surely a justification for LSU fans to be a little upset

It's fricking over. It's 6 months after the fact. Let it go.

Two fricking things are sickening on this board...

Alabama people still rubbing it in & LSU people still giving excuses.

It goes to show the age and immaturity of some of the people on here.

I fricking work with Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, and Auburn fans, and they are nothing like some of the arse wipes that post on here.

Monticello...you're a fricking douche for even starting this thread because you knew what the frick this would turn into. You're a fricking arse wipe.

when you have two really good teams, motivation will lie with the team that was beaten the first time.....and a sense of complacency will lie with the team that won the previous match.

If a team is complacent and can't get motivated to play in a national championship game then that team had no right to be there in the first place.

Not going to read all these pages but the 97 (96 season) Sugar Bowl did not become the MNC until the Fiesta Bowl outcome.

I was seriously looking forward to the FYMF bowl. Interviews, pregame chit chat, handshakes, etc.

wrong site....try the site that thinks winning the Division or being a Conference Champion means something or one that doesn't have an asterisk on the keyboard.

Listen fellows,,, All the chips fell just right for bama! Alabama just got lucky. Every contender besides LSU had one loss. Most of those that were in the discussion lost after the Alabama loss to LSU on 11/5. If OSU had their one loss 3 or 4 weeks prior or lost to Texas instead of ISU, we would not be having this conversation. As it turned out, there was no clear cut #2. The computers were mixed just enough to leave the ultimate decision up to the human polls! And of course, every one in the country (besides OSU) thought that Alabama was the only team in the country that could beat LSU. After the Nationl Title game, even Boone Pickens changed his tune about who should have been in the game...

The uproar to make the change to a 4 team playoff should have been made back in the early 2000's when Oklahoma got to play for it all after getting killed in the big 12 championship game.. But why did it not? Oklahoma lost the n'nal title game as well...
