Yeah, that doesn't mean anything. If they want to make an example of Ole Miss, they'll make an example of Ole Miss.

Only 5 violations found in a three year investigation. I'm not too concerned

However, if they come out and say we failed to monitor properly, we're self imposing and here is the changes we are implementing to take corrective action, they will survive this well.
I am not so sure of this. The NCAA has taken a lot of flack for being a paper tiger. Ole Miss is blatantly cheating in front of everyone like they don't even care. This may be the time when the NCAA decides it's time to flex it's muscles and make an example of Ole Miss.

Have you read any of the reports. Only 5 are football related and they are from the Nutt Era and the Tunsil stuff had already been covered. Keep wishing though
Alabama, textbookgate.... only 5 football players involved, during the Shula era... football players were suspended the last 5 games by the school..... most violations were other sports like track, not football.... but football ended up on 3 years probation with all games vacated during the years they played.

The NCAA doesn't necessarily need proof. It's kind of like getting Capone on tax evasion. They know you are cheating your arse off. If they can't find proof on Freeze they can go back for years find one little thing and hammer you. Ole Miss is in treacherous waters.
Finally, someone is making some sense.

I know we cheat in recruiting. I'm just saying the NCAA doesnt have any hard evidence of it under Freeze
If you're good at recruiting, you cheat. Every sec team does. Coaches may not be directly involved but boosters have been doing this forever. Just make sure recruits keep things quiet

I'd be the frick terrified if I were them.

I also work in a self reporting agency as someone that handles investigations. Rule #1 with an examiner is show humility. The NCAA's job isn't to destroy a program. If they show an honest willingness to correct the situation, it's a win/win.

Yeah, you are. Otherwise you wouldn't feel the need to come post things you can't possibly have any real info on in a pathetic attempt to defend your team.

Ole Miss, humility and honesty don't go together. They've been waving their racist dicks at the NCAA for 4 years, and now they're gonna start showing humility and playing by the rules?

I chose those words for a reason.

That's the rub though. I don't know how they've acted during the investigation.

Yeah, I hear Freeze has been running a clean ship. There aren't any reasons out there for anyone to think otherwise.

Though we have one of the richest women's college hoops histories out there, State was slowly starting to pass us up and we really didn't handle it well. It's a shame really.

There are good reasons that the NCAA remains camped out in Freeze's office. This is far from over.
OM will continue to cheat even while on probation, as they have in the past, but the money faucet will probably handled in a more discreet manner.

Billy Kinard
Now that's a name I haven't heard in a while. He was my HS football coach. One good year when we had a great QB but we sucked every year under Kinard.

Yep. Your AD and he clearly points out that some of this is related to what happened with ULL.

That's something that they are not even talking about
1- investigation for 3 years..
2- Saunders is discovered
3- Still cheats while being investigated (Tunsil's very PUBLIC issue)
