It's not though.

quote:

The all-time, all-division top college scorers' list (men and women):

4. Travis Grant, Kentucky State, 1969-72, 4,045 points. NCAA D-II.

5. Grace Beyer, Health Sciences and Pharmacy, 2020-24, 3,961 points. NAIA.

*6. Caitlin Clark, Iowa, 2020-current, 3,900 points (through April 1. All-time NCAA D-I leader).

Example A
I bought 10000 shares of AMZN on 12/31/97 for $0.25 each.
I sold 10000 shares of AMZN today for $180.25 each.
I turned $2,500 into $1,802,500 in 26 years.

Example B
I bought 10,000 BTC on 12/31/10 for $0.30 each.
I sold 10,000 BTC today for $66,084.00 each.
I turned $3,000 into $660,840,000 in 13 years

Example C
I met my wife in 1994.
She told me to buy AMZN in 1997.
She told me to buy BTC in 2010.
She divorced me today and took $331,321,250.

What is the best investment I ever made?

What you're trying to do is obvious, the problem is that it's flawed in multiple ways.

You said she's the all time leading college basketball scorer. She's not. She's not even top 5, and probably won't make it.

She's not even the top NCAA scorer, and she won't make it.

The NCAA separates men's and women's records, and there's good reason for that.

She's played in twice as many games as Pistol, and she had a 3 point line.

The math has been done. Pistol was worth 55-60 points a game with today's rules.

Are you saying that two NAIA players, an AIAW woman, a D2 player and a D1 woman were all better than Pete Maravich?

I'm just giving you raw numbers. Clark is #6 and Pistol is #12 by those.

I haven't offered my opinion and I'm not going to.

This example isn't a great example, but I am attempting to show that it is possible to compare different things.

The best investment I made was investing my time into my wife and convincing her to marry me. Even though she left, she gave me great advice and we both made tens of millions of dollars.

Perhaps I would have come to the same conclusion without her help and been able to keep it all.. or perhaps I never buy any of it. Perhaps I am poor and living in my mom's basement if I hadn't met her.

None of this is true unfortunately..

Bottom line:
You can compare Clark to other female players.
You can compare Secretariat to other horses.

And therefore..
You can compare Clark to Secretariat or anyone..
by measuring how much better they are compared to their peers..

But that would take a lot of work and analysis..
but it is possible to make the comparison

You’re in here discussing sports and doing the leg work on relevant stats while BigBro is just sitting there taking to himself.

To keep it SEC completely related ... Hailey Van Lith got lit the frick up. She wasn't that bad on defense but good gawd Clark made her look completely lost most of the time on defense and it clearly affected her on offense.

I mean go look at Clark
shot chart. it’s not like she was taking easy shots at the 3 point line all night.

hard to guard
someone who can pull up by the inbounds hash and shoot 45%

I've never seen a female basketball player move that effortlessly smooth. She's unreal. Fully deserved that win. They way they came out guns blazing really took me by surprise

That’s what I’m saying. Why she’s the best all time! Man can’t do that.

Was planning to pull for LSU until they walked off the court when the anthem was starting. After they pulled that…it was all Iowa for me!

So you wanted LSU to win until something that didn't happen happened?
