Did your kids play on Saturdays a lot or did it just dominate your weekend in some other way. I'm not a parent so I don't know these things (yet)

When they were pre HS yes, games were on Saturday. Its a long drive to Tuscaloosa from where I live and just wasn't worth the same day trip on Saturday to lug , 3 kids and wife to a game. I've been to a few games over the years. It just that it will seem easier now with out the HS football games and time requirements out of the way.

Funny how more responses were not in the actual games but my personal life.

No wonder posters always complain about this board sucking.

i'm thinking he meant he can travel to the games since he wouldn't have to wait until the game friday was over to leave but maybe that's just my better understanding of english.

You're so obsessed with Auburn people you're trolling me for asking a legitimate question?

no, i looked at the thread and saw your comment after the other comment from someone else who said something stupid about his son being in school for 10 years- as if he couldn't have more than one child.

i guess i was just defending the op for starting a decent thread and still getting stupid posts thrown at him.

Dude, you premised the entire thread with your personal life, so responses relating to your personal life are pretty on topic.

And my question was out of actual curiosity, not in some weird attempt to rustle.

My BIL went to Vegas the first weekend of March Madness and could not believe it. He called in the middle of the day hammered just raving about how much fun it was.

Easy there champ. I understand what your saying about that but the post was meant to be about the games in the SEC and how shitty the other conferences games to start the season were. But for some reason that part is getting the least amount of talk.

I want to see how bad Au beats Ark this year. That series is turning into quite the rivalry these days, especially with Gus.

It is absolutely awesome. If you like Vegas then you need to go that weekend. I don't really care that much about basketball. Unbelievable how amped up that place is that weekend.

I'm thinking of laying a few clams on the UGA-Clemson over. That game should be a shootout.

2nd weekend is the worst of the year
Inside the SEC I agree.

Outside you have

USC @ Stanford
Michigan @ Notre Dame
Virginia Tech @ Ohio State
Michigan St. @ Oregon

Some other games of interest

Georgia Tech @ Tulane
Ole Miss @ Vanderbilt
East Carolina @ USCe

It's not a great weekend, but there is a few good match ups.
