I think you might be jaded by the people who post here. You're going to have a higher concentration of LSU fans simply because it's attached to an LSU site. The delusion and insecurity runs rampant with virtually any SEC fan base unless they suck and have 0 prospects of winning.

Texas A&M wanted to be in the SEC for decades. Politics kept us out. We are thrilled to be in the SEC and thankful that Mr. Slive and the University's that voted us in made it happen. With that being said, we didn't come to the SEC to be anybodys baby brother, big brother, daddy, whatever. We came to the SEC to win SEC Championships and National Championships.
With a Auburn fan starting this topic lets me know 2 things:
1. Auburn is scared of Texas A&M.
2. When you say "renewed interest in program by alumni" you have no clue what you are saying.

It's hard to argue with Mizzou and TAMU's success. I'm glad they're in the conference.
