If you can't win at UT with its support and facilities in what is likely the worst era of SEC football since the establishment of divisional play, how can you win at Purdue in the strongest period of B1G football in more than a decade?

I haven't seen anything concrete, but the circumstantial evidence is mounting. Starting with his odd behavior post game on Saturday. My gut tells me he already knows he is fired, so he is going ahead and taking this Purdue job.

Purdue is more interested in the life championships Butch can bring to Purdue. Like players Moms getting thrown in Jail during games for resisting arrest. That is when you know you have already won the game of life. Purdue AD must be hitting the crack pipe or he wants to support Autism awareness, but Butch seems to be the opposite of the genius type. I wonder if his two life championships are at the top of his resume. That will never get old.

No, but where there is smoke, there is fire.
1. Not being at the press conference after the loss to Vanderbilt.
2. Those planes that went out to Purdue from Tennessee today.
3. Recruits decommitting.
Tennessee is likely a dumpster fire within and we only know the surface details about it.

Word is they didn't fire him but padlocked his office, took his name down, removed the sign for his parking space and re-assigned him to duties at the student rec center. They're hoping he gets the point and resigns.

Tennessee has been a mediocre to decent football team over the last decade. This is not just any decade, but a decade where a Mizzou team just needed to maintain a pulse to win two SEC East Titles in their first 3 years in the SEC. It's a decade in which a 2016 Florida team can win the SEC East without even having to put an offense on the field. A decade in which the West has a 104-61 record against the East. And yet, Tennessee has sucked it up in the East for the majority of those years.
You know, after a while, a trend becomes the norm. Tennessee is just another competitiv-ish team in a non-competitive SEC East. Nothing more than a continuously overrated mediocre team.
The SEC has changed my Tennessee brethren. Everyone has money to compete now, and there should be no reason for Tennessee fans to hope for anything more than a few years of solid success here and there. ITS OVER TENNESSEE. Maybe one day you can look back on the late 90's/early 00's as a hell of a time for TN fans, rather than bitching and complaining to each other about how that's how it should be now. No, you have now proved through your own failures that you are just a middle of the pack program with a middle of the pack team. It's a new age, and maybe you can't see that up there from the Rocky Top because you're too busy looking behind yourselves to the past, only to see Peyton, and your own asses.
Isn't it amazing how time works. You think you're still young and the good looking man you were a decade ago, until you look in the mirror at wrinkles and greying beards and say, "damn, that was a long time ago"
