If Team B were Oklahoma or Texas and Team D were Ole Miss, I wonder if it would change perceptions.

Poll

Team A: 11-1
Offense Ranking: 31
Defense Ranking: 1
Lost to #1 Team in the Country

Team B: 10-1
Offense Ranking: 3
Defense Ranking: 107
Lost to #69 Team in the Country

Hmmm. Team B doesn't look too good.

We've seen Team A play #1 team in the country already. Team A lost. Let Team B and their 3rd ranked offense take on #1 team in the country. Team A had their shot and couldn't do it.

I actually think Oklahoma State should be number 2 TODAY....and especially after Saturday if they beat OU.

I have to say I don't ever remember a season where a "better loss " meant more than better wins.

+1 EXACTLY

This, along with Ok State's better wins (if they beat OK), could resonate with voters and jump OSU over Alabama.

If Auburn loses a bowl game, it is possible that bama would have ONE win over a top 25 team - Overrated arkansas.

Doesn't sound like the second best team in FBS.

Personally, I think one should take it all into account...losses and wins.

And IMO OSU's wins outweigh Alabama's "better loss."

And throw on top of that the possibility, albeit small, that OSU is indeed the best team in the country and hasn't had their shot at beating LSU as Bama has, and it's a no-brainer IMO...OSU should get to play in the BCSCG vs LSU.

Boise did do one thing that Alabama couldn't: put itself in position to play and beat Georgia.

So, what you're saying is that a loss to LSU (at home, ZOMG!) is as bad as a loss to Iowa State. Just trying to clarify here.

So you're saying beating twice as many teams with winning records and over twice as many top 20 teams doesn't matter?

Bama "earned" their spot in the title game to play LSU because they lost to LSU?

The Bama argument is totally devoid of logic.

Didn't realize teams got BCS bowl bids based on stats and not their body of work.
