School doesn't start until Sep 30th so a majority of the students aren't on campus yet.

How does that affect games and attendance?

Auburn was on quarters when I was there and we started mid september but all students were on campus is august

A lot of Northeast schools use it; Penn State does I know. I don't think I would like it

Should be 7k+ for kick off.

I was a little surprised myself to hear that many people made the trip. My buddy is out there right and said Portland is full of Vol fans right now too, and that the variety of beer is amazing

gotta be... i remember when auburn was on quarters and the first couple football games every year were before classes started. wanna say 98 was the last year of the quarter system.

I went to a Thursday night game in Auburn before classes started around that time, and it was weird seeing the student section so empty. Want to say they played Virginia.

How well did UT fans travel to UCLA and @CAL a while back. Just curious. I knew they'd get a good crowd out to Oregon because it's such a unique experience there.

like said Auburn was on it up until about 2k,big reason they switched because the graduation date put students at a disadvantage in the job market

The stadium still gets pretty loud. Attendance is still good. I think we're on a decent sellout streak even though school starts late.

if they just take the time to meet each other, and find their common hatred for Lane Kiffin, they'll get along fine.

With their horn rimmed glasses and their clove cigarettes. It would be so much fun to watch Southerners mix with those people

I imagine the cupcake games before school started were like Alabama basketball games during Christmas break
