Pig's a very good player, but that isn't exactly a weak position group for UT. Be happier if a couple of your O-Lineman smoke some weed early Oct and get a 2-3 game suspension

Yes. Pig was suspended all spring and summer in 2014. I didn't think he'd make it back.

No, dumbass. You're thinking of Von Pearson, who was just recently reinstated after no charges were brought against him because his accuser changed her story 36 times and is batshit crazy.

This cracks me up (admit I wish UGA did this). How are you punishing a kid if you kick him out of practice but let him play?? Please don't throw me in that dam briar patch....

Lmao. Pig was in fact in trouble in 2014. This is his 2nd round of trouble.

Pig missed spring practice in 2014 due to grades but was back with the team for the entire summer and fall camp. I'm not sure where you are going with this. Maybe he just got caught with some pots or something

Perhaps Pig Howard was a bit optimistic when saying after Monday’s practice that he and his Tennessee football coaches and teammates have always been on the same page.

In fact, he was being a tad optimistic.

And that hasn’t always been the case.

Regardless, that’s the case right now. And that’s why the Vols’ leading returning receiver is back with the team in preseason camp after being away from the program this spring and summer to deal with unspecified “personal” issues. And that’s why everyone is now smiling — rather than shaking their heads — when they talk about the versatile, diminutive junior athlete from Orlando.

“Pig’s been a hard worker,” said junior guard Marcus Jackson, a member of Tennessee’s player leadership council. “He’s been bringing it every single day. Very hard-working guy.”

That hasn’t always been the case — at least not on a consistent basis.

As Howard said Monday, though, “the past is the past,” and that’s where he’s hoping to keep it this time.

“It’s going great,” Howard said during his first interview since being reinstated to the program on official basis late this summer. “It’s a special time. The past is the past, and at the end of the day I feel that we’re more closer as a unit, as a team, and we’re working to get better each and every day.

He converted almost every 3rd and long we had last year. He was the unsung hero of the South Carolina game. He is a play maker. Our qb's just didn't have enough time for the play to develop. He is very important to our offense

The suspension stems from something that happened over the summer.
