Yeah with the new ball and the increase in scoring, the west coast small ball approach that Serrano likes to use isn't going to be very effective.

I would get so frustrated at times in the past with Corbin and small ball. Of course the dead bats and old balls made it prudent strategy but as a fan it can take a toll.

How many years does DS get? He walked into a huge mess with Raleigh but he's been compensated very well and it's year 4 (correct me if I'm wrong on that).

Hoping he doesn't get it turned around this weekend.

He gets this year and will be here next year. Year 5 has to NCAA regional or bust though.

Too much like fast-pitch softball we see these days. I personally hate it for baseball.

Then this year is his best shot. Next year becomes much harder.

I don't know. He seems to be recruiting better each year. Outside of Stewart this junior class seems to be a bust.

That's kinda my point. They were banking on these upperclassmen to blossom this year and take the program to the next step and it doesn't appear to be happening. So relying mainly on Freshmen and Sophomores next year to get to a regional for the first time in 10 years is tough.

ETA: BTW Stewart is a fantastic player. I think he has a bright future ahead of him.
