Tennessee hype fails again. OU 45 Tenn 31

Tennessee giving up 600 yards to bowling green is a concern. Picking Sooners even though I despise stoops.

This game must mean a lot to you if it sparked your only post in 4 years.

Close to 1,000 yards and 100 points combined. Going to be a shootout.

I hope it rains, that would help us big time. We can run, the Sooners will have trouble with an air raid offense in the rain. But either way, will be a close game down to the wire. 35-28 VOLS

Good thread. Unfortunately you won't be received well because people on this board are fricktards.

This game should be very close, as the line suggests. I've flip-flopped several times on who I think will win, mostly based on my gut feeling, but in the end I've come back around to UT. I think the Vols win 38-34 on a late TD drive engineered (lel) by Dobbs.

I don't know what they return on the offensive line, but OU returns one of the best backs in the country.

They can run too.

OU has 4 new starters on the line, including 2 true freshmen tackles. Perine had 33 yards last week against Akron, and he was their leading rusher.

Ah well rain will definitely help the Vols then.

To be fair, they are obviously a pass first team. But one of our strengths is our D ends, and I like those matchups with the tackles.

I don't care if they're a run and shoot or veer offense, 4 new starters on the Oline is not good. Four new starters is bad enough, two of them being true freshman makes it much, much worse.

Vols should handle business at home.

It's funny because last year we went into the OU game with 4 new starters (a couple true freshmen I believe) on the o-line and it really showed. I am hoping for the tables to turn this year.

you can't base a defense over 1 game. you have to remember Bowling Green has the most experience on the offensive line in the country and had a top 25 offense last year. they can score points. I'd rate the defense after saturday

I say the VOLS come out of the tunnel with some of the highest-rated recruits, a passionate fanbase cheering them on in one of the biggest stadiums in college football. Butch will be dancing, Rocky Top will be playing and the hype around the program will be the most there's been since 1998.

Then the game's played, Butch has to coached, and they get buttchugged, er, I mean buttfricked. OU 41-10.

And the rest of the SEC will shite their pants when we actually win a hype game for the first time since 06.

Oh wait, on this board it'll be "OU sucks, you were always going to beat them, it would have been embarrassing to lose to them, I predicted you to win anyway"
