After that pass Dobbs could have deep throated any Dawg in the stadium. They all had their mouth hanging wide open.

I'm sure he was considering it. Those Georgia frat stars are irresistible to a guy like Ole Josh.

Yep, it was Butch that delivered on that hail mary. Not Dobbs. Not (receiver name). It was Butch.

You can argue semantics all you want, but Butch has brought you 2 losses in a row now

I love the "He who must not be named" feeling about this post. Must be permanently scarred.

I know it can't be ignorance, as I have the Uncle Verne play call permanently stamped in my brain, as I'm sure all the Vols and Dawgs fans do.

Good find, curious on the "Bristol Bowl" ring though. Onyx racecar track around the back part maybe?

Congrats on beating a first year head coach that lost to Vandy and Georgia tech in the same year on a Hail Mary?

When's the statue going up?

I love when these kinds of things pop up. The blue bloods like to mock and laugh when we boast about moderately successful things and invariably their schools do shite like this.

Tennessee isn't a blue blood though. Don't let them fool you. They're about equivalent to Georgia Tech historically. They won several championships before the advent of the facemask, then added one in the 90s. Pretty good in the 60s, mediocre in the 70s, pretty good in the 80s, good in the 90s, mediocre in the 00s through present. Those descriptions apply to both GT and UT, and no one mistakes the Yellow Jackets for a blue blood.

I don't think this is what you are looking for, but it came up in the search for Bristol bowl ring pics (about 4 rows down). I thought it was worth looking at all things considered

based on S&P rankings here

That's what a blue blood is. I.e born of Noble birth. We were kicking butt back in the day and earned our blue blood status. Maybe have fallen out of Blue Blood territory since 2005 or so, but Tech hasn't made that list since the 50s. Little bit of a difference there

1930s - 2nd best team
1940s - 6th best team
1960s - 10th best team
1990s - 4th best team
2000s - 10th best team (even with 2005-2009 included)

Yeah, this is the only one I found as well. I need a good, high-def version if I'm going to put in next to my life championship ring.
