Only 29 years old

2010 Rivals Recruiter of the Year (thanks to Keenan Allen and his brother but still, I'm sure a lot of other schools were offering similar package deals, doesn't change the fact that it was a nice recruiting coup for the Cal Bears)

Developed Tyson Alualu and Brandon Mebane into NFL defensive linemen (Alualu in particular has been a stud for the Jaguars in his rookie year)

If Wilcox can bring this guy in, who cares about Chuck Smith? The man had zero experience as a full-time position coach before he took the Tennessee job. He was a pass rushing specialist with the Jets, whatever the hell that means. Lupoi is a young coach on the rise and has been described as "one of the best recruiters and the best positional coaches in the nation, easily a head coach in the making". Sure, he might try some shady tactics such as encouraging his defensive linemen to fake injury to slow down Oregon's offense but hey it worked, didn't it? Oregon had their worst offensive game of the year. Dooley should definitely side with Justin Wilcox on this one.

No fricking joke. Chuck Smith is extremely overvalued by our fanbase because he played here. He does have an impressive resume as a personal trainer for d-linemen, but it is still weak compared to Lupoi's. I don't believe Lupoi will come here, so it probably won't matter.
