Yes. VOLS will look like the '85 Bears on defense and the '99 Rams on offense

I don't think he will get to Watson/Dak's level as a passer. It is just not in him. The offensive line will likely be pretty good compared to past years, so he will finally get some time to throw.

After we win the natty we're challenging the winner of the super bowl.

The most pressing question on the board will be..."Do you think the Vols could beat the Titans?"

You joke but I'm shocked there hasn't been a Bama vs Titans thread yet

The way the Titans have played I'm not sure they're the best football team in Nashville.

Really though, only UK fans routinely think that their team could compete with professionals.

First season I didn't go to a single game. It physically hurts me to watch them. If they hire Mularkey I probably wont go to one this year. Poor Mariota.

Those aren't the same thing. But I think Dobbs is a good fit for what the Vols are doing. I have a lot of friends who at UT grads, I'm happy for them, they're excited for the first time in quite a while.

Numbers wise they are pretty close. If Dobbs put those passing stats it would the greatest single year jump I could think of.

I'm putting a lot of faith in Preston Williams. We haven't had a WR like him since Da'Rick and by that I mean a mega talented one that will fight for every ball and come away with most of them and not the stupid shite Da'Rick would get into. Josh Smith has been our most 'boss' WR -- kid has talent and attitude on the field but he doesn't have the same talent as guys like North, Malone, and Williams.

North is gone and really we hardly knew ye with all the injuries. Malone shows flashes but hasn't taken the step to become the WR he needs to be. Preston already has that 'it' factor/killer instinct Malone needs and I think with him being healthier and having the PT he had this year he may emerge as our dominant WR as early as next season. If he does the passing game will look like it should.

JJ has that attitude too but he may ultimately wind up at safety. He's just one helluva athlete.

The reality is probably not... nothing in Dobbs first three years suggests he'll ever be more than just an average passer. But I'll give him credit... he's way more effective as a runner than I ever imagined.

Dude has all the skill talent at WR and TE... and kamara out of the backfield... but his passing game is just sort meh.
